Leila Lane left Trion but didn't leave the building. Instead, she pressed the button for the second floor and went to a small café inside the tower.
Kira Walton had chosen a corner table by the window. A laptop was on the table in front of her, a cup of coffee at her side, but she was busy scrolling through her phone.
"Ms. Walton." Leila Lane sat down next to Kira Walton.
"You're back already?" Kira Walton studied Leila Lane's expression. "She wasn't very cooperative, was she?"
"She said she'd come to my place to pack her things in a few days." Leila Lane knew that Kira Walton needed this handled urgently, not in a few days. But Ivy Holden hadn't taken the bait, and there was nothing she could do.
Kira Walton angrily slammed her phone on the table and said in a low voice, "In a few days? By then, it'll be too late!"
