"Want to go take a look?" Ian Rowan asked, unaware of what was on Ivy Holden's mind.
Ivy Holden knew that after everything that had happened, there was no turning back. In truth, she had caused this scene to force her own hand.
"Let's go take a look," Ivy Holden said, nodding.
"Okay." Noticing that Ivy Holden had agreed but wasn't moving, Ian Rowan took the lead and headed for the stairs.
Ivy Holden took a deep breath, fighting the wave of unease that washed over her, and followed.
Ian Rowan started down the stairs first, then reached a hand back toward Ivy Holden. "Come on, it's a little dark here. Take my hand."
Ivy Holden immediately grabbed his hand, not hesitating for a second.
"Haha." Ian Rowan couldn't help but laugh. 'So this feisty "big sister" is actually a coward? I've finally found her weakness! She's afraid of the dark. This is too good...'
"What are you laughing at? Don't you dare laugh!" Being laughed at by this idiot actually eased some of her discomfort.
