Reporters swarmed the hallways of every major hospital in the area. But Ivy Holden, the very person they were so desperately searching for, was lounging comfortably in her room at The Wells Hotel.
Although the performance had been exhausting, she wasn't the least bit sleepy. On the contrary, she was full of energy, as if running on a high.
So there she was, curled up on the sofa, watching the Halloway Group's stock fluctuations while chatting with her friends.
"Boss, here's your apple-lemon black tea. I made it just like Director Morrison said, with a tiny bit of brown sugar." Phoebe Buck placed a glass full of black tea on the small coffee table in front of the sofa. "It's still a little hot, so be careful."
Ivy Holden stretched and sat up, glancing at the stock market figures one last time before snapping her laptop shut. She smiled, clearly in a good mood. "Is Bill Holden back yet?"
"He's back. Eating in his room."
