"?!" Nathan Rowan glared right back.
"What kind of soup did you order again?" Jensen Morrison asked calmly.
Nathan Rowan quickly replied, "Oh, their braised pigeon soup is to die for. I ordered the wild mushroom and pigeon soup."
Ivy Holden ignored the talk about soup and continued with her previous topic. "So, Caleb is getting transferred back to work in Faelan next week?"
Julia Xavier nodded happily. "Yes, yes! He's been in the Southwest for the past two years, and I've been so worried. You know, the situation over there is rather complicated..."
Not wanting his wife to say more, Zander Young picked up the teapot to pour her some tea, cutting her off. "Come on, he's serving the country no matter where he is. You just worry for nothing."
Nathan Rowan finally understood why Jensen Morrison had kicked him. He'd wanted him to change the subject from Caleb Young.
