Ning Xuan chose those seeds because she found a few among them that looked very familiar. Even though she had only ever seen them in pictures, she recognized them at a glance as a species from Earth.
Now that Ning Xuan had the seeds, she picked up a black, oval-shaped one and held it under her nose to smell it. There was no mistake—this was a seed from an incense tree.
The resin secreted by the incense tree is known as Incense. Incense is used to awaken the mind, promote blood circulation, and relieve pain. Clinically, it is often used to alleviate symptoms such as comas, chest pain, and traumatic injuries. Applied externally, it also acts as an antiseptic and promotes tissue regeneration.
