DING. The elevator doors opened.
The yin messenger walked out, leaning against the wall for support.
Cui Jue chuckled, lamenting that the current yin messengers lacked mental fortitude. He had just returned with documents from the other Judges and bumped into the aloof-looking Black Impermanence on the way.
"Black, you're back," Cui Jue greeted him with a smile.
Black Impermanence nodded, aloof and reserved.
The two Ghosts stayed in the elevator. Watching the floors tick upward, Cui Jue asked Black Impermanence with a smile, "How was your annual leave?"
The corners of Black Impermanence's lips hooked up slightly. "Pretty good."
In reality, it had been super good!
"Coming back to work won't be good, though," Cui Jue said.
Black Impermanence still didn't know what had happened recently. "What's wrong?"
