Pei Ye was slightly bewildered. "Yu'an Academy was demolished? When did that happen?"
"About twelve or thirteen years ago? I don't remember clearly, but definitely more than ten years," the barbecue stall owner recalled carefully. He added unpleasantly, "Too many people died there. It was very unlucky, and people often heard crying. It's a good thing they demolished it to build commercial housing; nothing has happened since."
She pondered over his claim that too many people had died. Professor An Zhi had also mentioned that quite a few students had died at Yu'an Academy...
"What happened at Yu'an Academy?"
After Pei Ye asked this, the barbecue stall owner suddenly looked at her warily. "You aren't a reporter, are you?"
Pei Ye was speechless. Did she look like a journalist? Just looking at her thick, lush hair, anyone would know she couldn't possibly be in that profession.
