"Have you had breakfast? Want to grab something together?" Savannah Sutton asked Lianne, fiddling with the tassel on her graduation cap.
"It's okay. I ate on my way here," Lianne said, looking down and fiddling with her phone.
"Alright, I'm heading to the cafeteria then." Savannah Sutton picked up her campus card, keys, and phone from the desk. "Bye."
"Bye," Lianne replied.
She placed a hand on her waist, rubbing it gently. 'It's all Seth Sinclair's fault for shoving a pillow under my lower back. Now it's all sore.'
As if on cue, her phone screen lit up with an incoming call. Speak of the devil—it was the culprit himself.
Lianne swiped to answer, pressing the phone to her ear. Her voice was heavy with sleep. "Hello?"
"Still half-asleep?" Seth Sinclair's voice was casual and tinged with amusement. He sounded like he was in high spirits.
She'd slept for less than four hours, so it was no wonder she was tired.
Lianne yawned again, her voice a little muffled. "I'm awake."
