"Don't make excuses for men." Seth's arm was draped loosely around her waist, his tone casual. "If a man doesn't contact you, it can only be for one reason."
Lianne knew very little about men. "What reason?"
"He doesn't want to contact you," Seth said coldly.
Lianne mulled it over for a moment, recalling something similar Sophie Sheridan had once said: If a man acts like he doesn't care about you, he really doesn't. No exceptions.
"That's normal." Lianne had long stopped deluding herself into thinking Ethan liked her. "Brothers and sisters don't have to be in constant contact. It's normal for family members to not always feel like talking. Besides, Ethan and I aren't really family."
Familial love is built on blood ties. Blood is thicker than water; it doesn't need constant contact to be maintained.
Romantic love, on the other hand, comes with passion and impulse. It's different from familial love.
