She was lost in thought when Alaric Davenport came out, toweling his hair dry. "On the table are a few addresses I picked out for you. They're good value for the money and close to my office, so I can wait for you at the end of the day."
"Okay. I'll go take a shower..." Rosalind said, flustered as she gathered her clothes.
'I have to keep my distance from him. Fresh out of the shower, he's like walking testosterone. It's completely intoxicating.'
"Rosalind Lowell." Alaric's deep voice called out her name, lingering on each syllable.
She turned around to find Alaric already standing behind her. He gently pinched her cheek. "Are you warm?"
The moment he touched her face, his heart skipped a beat as if from an electric shock. 'Her skin... it's so soft and smooth, so nice to touch.'
Rosalind blinked, pressing a hand to her face. "I'm... I'm fine..."
Alaric turned away. "If you feel warm, you can turn down the AC."
