Chapter 197 - Chapter 197: The Return of the Pillar of the Family

Today, the Walt Family base was experiencing a different and joyful atmosphere that spread among all its members, from the oldest to the youngest, reflecting on their faces and in the general mood that filled the entire place.

The reason was simple: Dan, the pillar and foundation of the family, had returned from his six-month isolated training.

Although everyone knew his personality well . that he was extremely cautious in every step he took and never made a decision without carefully calculating all possible outcomes and consequences, and that periods of isolated training were a natural and recurring part of his journey . whenever he announced that he would enter seclusion, a faint but noticeable tension would spread quietly among all members of the family.

Even though his wives, Rin, Kali, Hina, Nanami, and the others had long grown accustomed to the fact that he occasionally had to disappear for a period whenever he reached an important stage in his training, that did not make it easy for them. They simply tried not to show it in front of their sons, daughters, and grandchildren.

As for his sons and daughters, they regarded him as the perfect example. Their love, loyalty, and pride in their father had reached an almost unbelievable level. They had grown up beneath his shadow and witnessed firsthand a power and wisdom that surpassed imagination.

The same was true for his grandchildren, who had opened their eyes into this family atmosphere from their very first moments of awareness. To them, Dan was not merely a grandfather; he was a genuine legendary figure unlike anyone else in their minds.

The younger children of the family had grown up listening to stories about their grandfather, who had once been an ordinary young man carrying a burning ambition, who carved his own path, built this family from nothing, acquired his strength through effort, training, and relentless advancement, all while remaining hidden from the world.

Therefore, his return today after six months of isolation filled the entire base with joy from floor to ceiling. Even Baki, the enormous tiger, moved around with more energy than usual and sat near Dan while looking proudly at the other tigers of his bloodline.

Dan sat in his usual chair within the main hall, surrounded by his older sons and daughters who had gathered around him.

He looked at the faces of all his children. Even though some of them were already over a hundred years old, to him they were still his little ones.

Then he turned toward Nira with a faint smile and asked,

"So, how far has your progress reached?"

She answered in her usual cold voice, though this time it carried a trace of happiness so slight that few could have noticed it. It did not escape her father's attention, however, because he knew his daughter very well.

"I've made some progress, but I still haven't reached mastery of this method yet, Father."

Dan replied calmly as he looked at her with a smile.

"Take your time, little one. Don't worry. I'll help you during your next training session."

Leon sat beside him with an unusual quietness. Sam, the eldest son, wore a broad warm smile that had not left his face since Dan's return. Norman remained calm as always, his sharp eyes observing everything. Kai occasionally pretended to be indifferent, but the fact that he remained so close to his father today revealed the exact opposite.

And there were his daughters with their various personalities: Sophia, the eldest, who had already surpassed a hundred years of age yet still appeared to be in her twenties; Hoshi, whose face shone with curiosity and interest regarding how her father's training had gone; and Sera, with her noble and warm features.

Dan looked at the faces around him one by one before saying,

"I missed all of you, my children."

The gathered faces received those simple words with happiness. Some smiled, some lowered their heads in embarrassment, and some looked at him with eyes warmer than usual.

Each reacted in their own way, reflecting their individual personalities and methods of expression, especially because their father, known for his naturally cold disposition, rarely spoke to them with such openness and warmth.
