Dan noticed the unmistakable excitement in Sophia's voice as she asked about the strongest creature in this world. He could also sense the overwhelming killing intent she made no effort to conceal, causing a faint smile to appear on his face.
"There are many individuals and beings in this world who could defeat you in your current state without much difficulty."
His tone was calm, simply stating reality. After a brief pause, he continued.
"But if you want to know who stands above them all, then without question... it is the Lone Wolf of Death."
A shiver spread throughout Sophia's entire body the moment she heard that name from her father's lips.
It was not born solely from fear, nor solely from excitement. Instead, it was a strange mixture of both, accompanied by something else she had never experienced before a genuine sense of awe.
Countless emotions surged through her at once. Burning excitement, reverence, and an overwhelming desire to fight ignited within her from nothing more than hearing the name her father had given that being.
Dan noticed the storm of conflicting emotions within her, as well as the light that had appeared in her eyes.
Smiling, he continued,
"At your current level, you have no hope of facing that creature. It is the being closest to reaching the rank of King within this world."
"For now, I suggest you focus on training and fighting opponents who are around your own level, or only slightly stronger than you. That is the proper path to temper yourself at this stage. Trying to leap toward something far beyond your reach before the proper time will never produce true strength."
After a brief pause, he added,
"Besides, the Wolf of Death is currently in hibernation. It won't awaken for at least another three thousand years. You should make full use of this opportunity to carve your own path toward the summit. Three thousand years within this Inner World is an enormous amount of time if used wisely."
Sophia remained silent for a moment as she carefully processed every word her father had spoken, placing each piece into its proper place until a clear picture of her future gradually formed in her mind.
The Lone Wolf of Death would remain asleep for three thousand years.
By the time it awakened, she had to become strong enough for that battle to be a genuine possibility rather than an impossible dream.
"Yes, Father."
"You must carve your own path during the years ahead."
Dan continued,
"And when the time comes, I suggest you use your battle against the Wolf of Death to prove your worth... and claim the title of King."
After giving her a short moment to absorb everything he had said, Dan finally brought the conversation to an end.
"Very well. I'll be leaving now. You may continue your journey and your adventure. Goodbye, my little girl."
"Goodbye, Father."
Sophia replied just before his voice disappeared from her ears.
