The reward granted to anyone who attains the rank of King is divided into two distinct parts that Dan established within the laws of this world.
The first part is an enormous amount of compressed natural energy that can be absorbed. This energy will dramatically increase the individual's strength, reinforce the path over which they have become King, and allow them to achieve a tremendous leap in power.
The second part of the reward is the right to enter the Tower, where one can continue training and refine their strength further within an environment completely different from the Outer Continent.
It is important to understand that the rank of King is not a level of power in the conventional sense. Dan did not divide cultivation within the Inner World into sequential levels that must be surpassed one after another to eventually reach this rank. Rather, it is a title granted to those who have achieved profound mastery over the unique path they chose for themselves and established absolute, uncontested sovereignty over every aspect of it.
Even an ordinary person could theoretically attain this rank if they fulfilled the fundamental requirement and reached the pinnacle of their own path. In practice, however, this is extremely difficult, as reaching the true summit of any path requires immense effort, depth, and time. Thus, the rank of King is the world's own acknowledgment that a path has fully matured and reached its highest peak.
The Tower, however, functions differently from the Outer Continent in several respects. Those who climb it are divided into two primary groups: the Tower's native inhabitants, who were born within it, and the External Kings who come from the Outer Continent after attaining the rank of King and earning the right to enter and begin a new journey.
As for the Tower's native inhabitants, they are beings who were born there and have spent their entire lives within its floors without ever knowing that the Outer Continent exists. This is because when Dan constructed the Tower with its four thousand Paths and two hundred and fifty Floors in every Path he did not leave it empty. Instead, he populated every Path and every Floor with countless living creatures.
Each Floor of the Tower is, in reality, an independent inner world roughly the size of North and South America combined. The life that emerged on every individual Floor evolved over countless ages independently from the other Floors within the same Path and independently from every other Path as well. Every Floor possesses its own history, its own inhabitants, its own conflicts, and its own balance of power that gradually developed throughout its long internal history.
As a result, life within the Tower is incredibly diverse. It contains the same races found on the Outer Continent . humans, Gray Dwarves, Hand Lizards, numerous animals, and many other creatures that evolved within this environment overflowing with dense natural energy. However, the overall level of these beings generally differs from that of their counterparts on the Outer Continent because of the unique conditions of each Floor and the pressures they have endured throughout history.
Each of the four thousand Paths operates in complete isolation from all the others. Whatever developments, conflicts, or powerful figures arise within one Path have no direct influence over the events taking place in any other Path. Every Path is an independent story with its own people, creatures, and long history. Consequently, if one truly wished to comprehend the sheer scale of life within the Tower, its diversity far surpasses that of the Outer Continent.
As for the External Kings those who come from the Outer Continent after attaining the rank of King and thereby earning the right to enter the Tower . their position differs fundamentally from that of its native inhabitants. They enter the Tower only after already proving complete mastery over their chosen Paths and reaching the summit of those Paths on the Outer Continent.
However, this does not mean the Tower will be easy for them, nor that everything they achieved on the Outer Continent will be sufficient to overcome what awaits them within its Floors. The Tower was designed to be far more difficult and far deeper in its challenges than the Outer Continent, and every External King who enters it will encounter trials that force them to surpass themselves once again.
