I didn't know the exact details of the relationship between Ray and this girl. But I knew that there must be a miscommunication somewhere along the line, because Ray looked genuinely in love with her, proven by how he wanted to talk about this with me rather than just moving on from the topic.
"Maybe try to contact her again? Since you're still in love with her, she needs to understand your feelings. Who knows if they'd be reciprocated now."
I thought my advice up until now was helpful enough. I was seeing this from the perspective of a woman.
Usually, if a woman was still in love, she'd eventually forget about a mistake that her spouse made. I did that a lot with Miles too.
I tolerated many things about him, and still supported him financially and emotionally through our marriage despite his faults.
