"Now's the time," I said as I walked into the room with Claudia before the 'interview' between Detective Penn and Aurora continued to go south.
I didn't expect Detective Penn to be biased against Claudia this badly.
While it was true that I preferred having this development when the case was still new, and made sure that Claudia was pushed to the brink of desperation so she had nowhere to turn for protection other than me, I didn't actually want her to go to jail or a mental ward.
Thus, this bias from Detective Penn had to be stopped immediately before it got worse.
"I think that's enough, Detective," I said, interrupting him as he seemed to plan on debating with a little girl for an entire day. "You've asked her enough, and it seems that you can't get away with being biased. Aurora has told you the truth, and no matter how many times you ask her, her answer will not change."
