# ONE SHOT The story is about a girl named Nori who was helping her grandparents clean their house. While cleaning she found an old looking book. At the night she decided to read the book. It turns out that the book was a diary of a girl from Victorian era. She was writing small letters to some-one called Morphy.

Chapter 1 - ONE SHOT

'It is a book!'

Nori exclaimed when she saw something that sat on her table. She was at her grand-parents' house. While she was helping them clean, she found out a pretty old looking book in one of the shelve and she had put it on her table.

It was night time and she was one of those people who had a habit to read until she felt dizzy and sleep.

Nori looked at the clock and at the book, a naughty smile played on her face. She grabbed the book and started reading. 

 

1837, September

Dear Morphy,

I found out that if some-one had put poison in my mother's drink and now my mother is sick. Doctor Radian say that she will die soon.

 

1837, September

Dear Morphy,

My mother passed away and my father is telling me to marry a man. I don't remember his name but it is rumoured that he is old but has plenty of money.

 

1837, October

Dear Morphy,

I met that man. His name is Daniel and he is good-looking. He talked to me sweetly and even asked me to be his dance partner for the royal celebration banquet.

 

1837, October

Dear Morphy,

My good friend Saraphine is in prison because there was a book in her bedroom. She was writing a novel. If anyone finds out that I am writing to you. I will also go to prison. But I heard that the prison is scary and dirty. I don't want to go there.

 

1837, November

Dear Morphy,

There is just two days left before I go to Banquet with Daniel. He visited me today and we talked. He said that I was the best partner he could ever wish for.

 

1837 November

Dear Morphy,

Daniel ended up talking to a girl named Rose a bit longer than expected and even danced with her. I don't like her.

 

1837 December

Dear Morphy,

Father decided that I will soon get engaged to Daniel. I am so happy.

 

1837 December

Dear Morphy,

I got to know that another good friend of mine named Evain is going to prison because she was writing something bad about the duke of Winstone in one of her popular books.

 

1837 December

Dear Morphy,

Daniel cancelled our engagement because he claimed that he liked Rose more than me. I knew something was wrong when he danced with her.

 

1838 January

Dear Morphy,

Father is treating me like I don't exist since Daniel broke the engagement. I know that the engagement was one of the golden opportunities for my dad. I guess I am not good enough.

Dear Morphy,

I tried to talk to my dad but he just keeps ignoring me. I think I am not useful anymore.

 

1838 February

Dear Morphy,

My friend Henna lend me a popular book. To be honest it is pretty good.

Dear Morphy,

I think I like reading. After reading the popular "Oliver Twist" I feel like I should also start writing such interesting things.

 

 

1838 March

Dear Morphy,

I started a book called "Radiant Run" it is just a normal book about a girl who grew up with a normal loving family but after her mother died, she tried to find love but failed and later even her father abandoned her. She is very sad person. She didn't know the world until she learnt the hard way.

 

1838 March

Dear Morphy,

My father read Radiant Run and he didn't approve of it and said that I should stop writing nonsense but I like writing it. I love writing what I wrote. So, I said what I thought. After that he shouted and order servants to pack my bags and throw me out of the mansion.

 

1838 April

Dear Morphy,

After I was kicked out of the mansion. I lived as a commoner. I stayed at an inn. Honesty, I feel cozy in here also I have been writing my novel faster now. I feel relieved.

 

1838 April

Dear Morphy,

I have finished Radiant Run and had taken it to a popular publisher. I am so nervous. I don't know what will happen. This is my last hope.

 

1838 May

Dear Morphy,

I am so happy. They said that they were glad to publish my work but they need two or three more novels based upon the main character.

 

1838 June

Dear Morphy,

My novel was published and everyone loved it. Even the Duke of Riland invited me to his luxury banquet that I was never invited before.

 

1838 July

Dear Morphy,

I wore the best outfit that I could find. When I was there everyone was nice to me and I met Henna again. She was so happy. But later when she was escorting me back to my small inn, she said that she knew the person who poisoned my mother. I asked her who? She replied that it was the empress her-self. Before I could why do the empress did that Henna ran way in the carriage. I am speech less.

1838 July

Dear Morphy,

After thinking about it for few days. I have decided that I will visit my father and ask about this. I am a little scared also I don't think my father will welcome me back.

 

1838 August

Dear Morphy,

I visited my father. Surprisingly he welcomed me. Not warmly if we see. But when I asked about my mother. He was angry at first but later he calmed down and told me that once emperor wanted to marry my mother but my mother was in love with my father. At that time empress was still daughter of duke and wanted to marry the emperor. When she saw how little emperor gave her attention and loved my mother she started hating my mother. But when she finally had the power, she poisoned my mother.

 

1838 August

Dear Morphy,

I have decided that I will take my revenge…

 

1838 September

Dear Morphy,

I wrote my mother's story as my other book called "Queen's Hunger" and I have published it today.

 

1838 September

Dear Morphy,

I think empress read my book. She has certainly caught on what I have wrote.

 

1838 September

Dear Morphy,

I am being executed today. Well, I guess I will certainly have to meet God at some point afterwards…

 

After Nori read the last entry Nori couldn't believe that she has read this. She took a deep breath, put the diary, she took a deep breath again and slipped into sleep.

'It was heavy'

'It was sad'

After all, it was book of a real life…
