Our gym teacher: So, do you want to play Section E vs. Section D or do you want mixed teams?
Both Sections: Section E vs. Section D
Our gym teacher: Great! You have 7 minutes to strategize! We will play it seriously! So, pretend it is a World Cup!!!
The teachers left for a few minutes to find a pumped-up ball.
Kiefer: Ok, now since we are each 18 people in a Section, we have to put 7 people on the bench.
Jane: We have 90 minutes and we can switch a player, every time we need a break. I think that would be efficient. What do you think??
The rest nodded
Jay: We can use our Section E hand signal, when you feel tired. Sounds good?
The rest nodded.
Felix: Now, who is good at football and who isn't?
Jay: I would say we should mix the team. We know, that they will try their best to injure us, especially the best players.
Drew: She has a point
Yuri: I think, we all are pretty good at football, but we don't know about Jane and Jay.
Jane and I laughed.
Jay: Let's say we can handle the ball perfectly. But I have to be one of the Attackers, best would be Attacking midfielder.
Jane: Yes, she would be amazing at that! I am best, when I am the goal keeper
Jay: True!
Eman: Ok, then Jane is goal keeper and Jay is Attacking midfielder. I think Kiefer is a good striker and Yuri is a good Forward. Now we will need their back up. They will most probably be the ones, who will get injured.
Felix: I could be Kiefer's backup
Edrix: I can be Yuri's backup
Drew: Perfect, we need Jay's backup
Jay: There is no need for that. I know what to do
Ci-n: But Jay, you are mainly the cause they got exposed and you are the literal engine of the team!
Jane: Ci-n, she knows. I have seen her play. She won't be seen!
After a while, we decided that these are the positions:
1. Goalkeeper: Jane
2. Sweeper: Blaster
3. Wing back: Eren
4. Centre-back: Mayo (backup: Denzel)
5. Full- back: Josh (backup: Kit)
6. Defensive Midfielder: Eman (backup: Drew)
7. Central Midfielder: Rory (backup: Ci-n)
8. Attacking Midfielder: Jay
9. Winger: David (backup: Calix)
10.Forward: Yuri (backup: Edrix)
11.Striker: Kiefer (backup: Felix)
We even had 2 minutes to spare, so the ones, who would go on the field started preparing themselves. Section D gave us mocking looks. Well, they will see who they are messing with! We took our positions in the field and so did Section D. The whistle blew and Rory took the ball, before the player from Section D could. Rory passed it to me and I immediately ran with it. I could see from the corner of my eyes that there were 2 players behind me and I could see 4 in front of me. I dribbled 3 players off, but I could see that, if I would pass it to Kiefer, he would have an easier chance to score the ball, so I passed it to him. And he scored the goal!
The gym teachers: 1-0 for Section E!
Section D looked frustrated and irritated. Looks like there will be more fouls now. Section D kicked the ball this time and Eman kicked the ball away from the player the second the player got close. Eman passed it to Rory and he passed it to Yuri, but since Yuri was surrounded by Section D, he passed it to Kiefer. Kiefer tried to dribble them out, but there were other players around him, so he passed it to me. It was hard for me to go near the goal, so I tried and kicked it in the goal!
The gym teachers: 2-0 for Section E!
At this point the students, that had free period came to see the game. Most of them cheered for Section D, but our friends cheered for us and that was enough for us. We continued the game. Section D kicked the ball to their best player and he was actually good, but not better than Jane. Jane caught the ball and threw it to Eren, who kicked it to Rory. Rory was surrounded by players, so he passed it to Eman and he kicked to David, because I was surrounded. The minute David got the ball a player from Section D punched him in the face. That is a clear foul!!!!
Their gym teacher: FOUL!!!!
The game stopped and we immediately went to David.
Yuri: Bro, are you ok?
David groaned and said: No, he hit me hard *takes the hand from his eye*
His eye was swelling and there was a purple bruise on his face.
Drew: Yeah, Calix is playing. No way you are playing!!!
Josh and Blaster helped him to the bench and got him an ice pack. I looked over to Section D and they were giving us mocking smirks. I knew, that either Yuri, Kiefer or I would be next on the list, since we are the main goal scorers.
Our gym teacher: Free kick for Section E!!!
Kiefer: I think, we should give Mayo the free kick. Mayo is good at it.
Mayo (mock salute): Yes, boss!!!
We chuckled. The game begun and as decided Mayo stood for free kick. And he shot it in the back of the net!
The gym teachers: 3-0 for Section E!!!!
After that the game went on. After 5 minutes we had a water break. In the next 20 minutes, we couldn't score any goals anymore, but so couldn't Section D. We couldn't, because Section D always tried to injure us every time we had the ball. Good thing we always dodged their attacks!! It is soccer!!! Not WWE!!!! Anyways, after those attempts, I had started giving my best. I dribbled 4 or more players out, dodged every intended foul and scored 2 goals. Well, Section D scored one goal against us in the last 10 minutes. And the game ended with a 5-1 for Section E!
The gym teachers: Section E win 5-1!!!!!!
Our friends cheered for us and Section D and their supporters yelled that we cheated. We just shrugged them off and started celebrating.
Blaster: Celebration at Eman's restaurant!!!!
Eman: When did I agree to that??
Blaster: You have in my imagination!
We laughed.
Jay: Wait!! Let's celebrate at our house, but tomorrow!!
Section E cheered anyway.
Ci-n: Grandpa Dabidddd, how are you?
David chuckled: It hurts a bit, but better now that we won!!!
We cheered again. After that we all had Math and English, then we went home. The group chat was spammed with text messages of Section E. Mostly celebrating that we won and some shocked texts, because Jane was a great goalkeeper and I was a super goal scorer.
