Chapter 1
{Rain fell steadily over the city, each drop echoing softly from the rooftops. In the distance, a large hospital building stood under the gray sky. As the scene drew closer, faint sounds of a newborn's cry drifted through the corridors—one of the delivery rooms where a pair of twins had just entered the world}.
"white flash filled the screen"
"Hey, you! Get out of my territory!" Lia Yumihara snapped, her tone sharp.
Razo smirked. "Oh yeah? And what are you going to do about it?"
Lia narrowed her eyes. "You asked for it. Goons, attack!"
"Yes, ma'am!" the two thugs answered, rushing forward.
"Oh no you don't!" Razo said, drawing his blade in one smooth motion.
Steel flashed as he cut through both attackers. They cried out and dropped to the ground with heavy thuds.
Lia watched him, a hint of surprise in her expression. "I see you're stronger than you look."
"Better than running your mouth," Razo replied. "How about we settle this properly? Let's fight."
Lia's lips curved into a confident grin. "Bring it on!"
"Cut!" the director called out.
Razo exhaled and dropped into a chair, shoulders relaxing. "Damn, that was tiring."
Lia let out a small laugh, brushing her hair back. "Yeah, same here."
The director nodded. "Alright, you two, rest up. We'll shoot the next scene tomorrow."
"Yes, sir," both replied.
{Tak… tak… tak… click}.
"I'm home!" Lia called as she stepped inside, a tired but warm smile on her face.
"Mama!" Ryeika squealed happily, running toward her.
Lia's expression softened. "Aww, sweetie, did you miss Mommy?"
"Yes! Mama, can we play?" the little girl asked eagerly.
"Of course we can," Lia said gently, "but give Mommy a few minutes. I need to take a shower first."
Riola appeared from the living room. "Oh, you're home already. I'll head out now."
Lia smiled gratefully. "Thank you so much for watching them."
Riola chuckled. "Don't worry about it. Your kids are smart and they actually listen to the rules. Makes it easy."
Lia laughed softly. "Haha, thank you!"
"Mom," Azurite said quietly, stepping closer.
Lia turned, her smile growing warmer. "Azu! Did you miss Mommy?"
Azurite nodded. "Yes. Can we have dinner now?"
"Sure, but Azu, can you help by playing with your sister for a bit first?"
"Okay, Mom," he answered calmly.
{Tak… tak… tak… click}.
"Okay, bye now," Riola said, waving as she left.
"Bye, Auntie!" Azurite called.
"Bye-bye!" Ryeika added with a big wave.
"Thanks again, Riola!" Lia said.
The door clicked shut.
{Lia stepped into the shower, letting the warm water wash away the long day. After a few minutes, she turned off the faucet, dried herself, and stood in front of the bathroom mirror, looking at her reflection. Steam still lingered in the air. Suddenly, a loud scream came from the living room}.
"Wah! Wahhh!"
"Shhh, calm down!" Azurite tried to soothe his sister.
Lia hurried out, concern flashing across her face. "What happened?"
Azurite looked up. "Ryeika fell while we were playing."
"Oh no, my poor baby," Lia said, kneeling quickly beside her daughter. "Are you okay?"
"My leg hurts, Mama!" Ryeika whimpered, tears in her eyes.
"Okay, let's get you some medicine," Lia said gently.
After giving her the medicine, Azurite stayed close, quietly comforting his sister while Lia moved to the kitchen. Soon the sounds of cooking filled the air.
"Azu! Rye!" Lia called after a while. "Dinner's ready!"
Azurite gently shook his sister. "Wake up, Ryeika. Dinner's ready."
"Hm… okay, Onii-chan," Ryeika murmured sleepily.
They sat at the table together.
A white flash transitioned the scene.
Azurite and Ryeika were now sound asleep in their beds, breathing softly.
Lia stood in the doorway, watching them with a quiet, tender smile. They're so cute… I wish this moment could last forever.
The next day on set, the clapperboard snapped.
"Action!"
Razo swung his blade, breathing hard. "Argh! You're stronger than you look!"
Lia laughed, full of confidence. "Oh? You thought I was weak? How do you think I built this empire?"
"I don't care how you built it," Razo said firmly, "because it will all fall! Your criminal empire will fall!"
Lia threw her head back and laughed. "Haha… HAHAHA! You think a weakling like you can destroy my empire?"
"I might not be able to do it alone," Razo replied, eyes steady, "but unlike you, I have friends who will help me win!"
"Oh?" Lia smirked. "Well, it doesn't matter—because I'll win!"
A voice suddenly spoke from the shadows. "You think so? But you didn't even know I was here, did you?"
Lia's eyes widened in surprise. "Huh? When did you—"
A swift slash cut through the air.
"AGHH!" Lia cried out, stumbling back and falling with a thud. "A sneak attack! You pussy!"
"Oh, shut up!" Razo snapped. "I told you—your empire will fall!"
"No, it won't—" Lia started, but another slash silenced her as she collapsed.
"Cut!" the director shouted. "That was perfect! Good job, everyone!"
The crew started moving, voices buzzing. "Let's go! It's a wrap for today!"
"Their performances were amazing!"
"Sir, should I send this to the editor?" a staff member asked.
"Of course," the director replied.
"Right away, sir!"
The director turned to the actors. "Alright, you three—get some rest. Tomorrow we will shoot the final scene!"
"Yes, sir!" Lia, Jax, and Razo answered together.
