Chapter 26 - Azure Auction House

Unlike with Lily, Jensen had no plans on waiting around for Maria to complete her transformation.

He stepped out and walked around for a while. On his walk he began to try a new skill.

His idea for the skill was simple… using his telekinesis to rob people. It was more out of habit than anything.

Not to mention his targets were people who had offended hi one way or another in the past that didn't really warrant death.

Stealing was one of the things he was very good at and now that his powers had been awakened.

He had an elaborate idea of using telekinesis to lift off people's money pouch or spatial ring and then teleporting the ring to his hand.

Unfortunately, he was not yet skilled in the use of his space path.

He planned to improvise for now. Instead, he just focused on using his telekinesis to take them as fast as possible without alerting his victim.

On his walk he managed to gather information on an auction that would be happen in a few hours in Azure Auction House.

According to the information he had on the Azure Auction House, they were one of the wealthiest and influential auction houses in their small part of the world.

According to some of the rumours he heard they were backed by a powerful family who had High ranking betas.

The Azure Auction House opened regularly once a week auctioning minor stuff and the hold a major auction once a year for far more rarer items.

Jensen finally arrived at the Azure Auction house and stared at the massive luxurious building in front of him.

This wasn't the first time he had seen this building, so he wasn't blown away.

This was one of the best spots to clean people of their wealth during the rush period, all you had to do was keep an eye on the guards and get ready to run once one of you was noticed.

Jensen approached one of the pretty attendants standing silently at the entrance, he could tell she was one of the workers here.

"Hello."

"Hi, Welcome to Azure Auction House, how may I help you?"

"I was wondering if you would have Talent Crystals?"

The young lady looked at Jensen with a weird face after hearing his words.

"Umm... I'm sorry, but we don't typically provide such information to customers," she said a moment later.

"What...?"

The young lady chuckled and spoke, "Is this your first time at an auction house?"

"Yes..."

Looking at his facial features and seeing how young she was, "In that case let me explain to you, we do not provide peek into the list of items of available items… Unless…"

"Unless…?"

"You are a VIP." she finished as she did a simple one look at his dress and shook her head inwardly.

The young lady did not want to disappoint Jensen anymore, who was clearly ignorant of many things, so she remained quiet.

However, the other worker there, who has been watching them since the beginning, burst out laughing, "Hahaha! Does this kid want to see the Azure Auction list?! This is hilarious!"

"Li! Why must everything that comes out of your mouth be so foul? He's clearly very young and ignorant! There's no need to mock him!"

The young lady beside Jensen frowned at her fellow worker's unsightly behaviour.

"Hmph! I am only speaking the truth! And the earlier he learns, the faster he will grow up! Why are you even protecting a beggar like him, Yi?" The lady known as Li coldly snorted, her gaze filled with mockery.

"Don't mind her, little brother. It's not a crime or disgraceful to be ignorant at times. " Yi tried soothing Jensen, acting like a next-door friendly sister.

Jensen ignored Yi turning to Li, raised his hand, and used his telekinesis to clench her throat.

Her body froze.

Then, suddenly, her feet were slightly lifted off the ground.

Li's hands shot up to her neck as she struggled to breathe, her fingers clawing at nothing.

Her eyes widened in panic as an invisible force tightened around her throat.

"Y-You…" she tried to speak, but only a broken gasp came out.

Jensen's expression didn't change.

Slowly, he tightened his grip.

Li's body trembled as the air left her lungs. Her movements grew weaker, slower… until even her struggles began to fade.

Jensen watched her calmly, his hand still raised.

A bead of sweat appeared on Yi's forehead as she watched frozen as Li's get choked out.

Just as it seemed like Jensen was going to kill Li a strong voice suddenly resounded, "What's with the commotion here?!"

Only now did Yi finally move as she bowed to the old man that appeared in front of them.

"Steward Cha!"

"What is happening here?" He asked as he stared at the crowd that gathered around in front of the auction house.

He turned to Jensen and just as he was about to snap at him to release his attendant, he suddenly froze.

Any other time he would have snapped at the outsider no matter who was in the wrong after all he followed the rule of 'Praise in public, criticise in private.'

But this time the person he was facing was someone he couldn't just ignore.

Any other level 2 wouldn't have been a problem but one that seemed to be in his teens most definitely was.

Either he was a very talented descendant of a powerful family or a powerhouse hiding his identity.

Either way it wouldn't be in the best interest of the Azure Auction House to offend either one of them.

"Young master," Steward Cha said as he slightly bowed his head, "please forgive my attendant's lack of judgment."

His eyes briefly glanced at Li, who was still slightly suspended in the air, her face pale as she struggled for breath.

"It is our fault for not training her properly."

Jensen remained silent for a moment, his hand still raised.

Then, without a word, he loosened his grip.

Li's body dropped to the ground as she collapsed, coughing violently as she struggled to pull air back into her lungs.

She didn't dare say a word.

Steward Cha let out a small breath of relief before turning his attention fully back to Jensen.

"If the young master would allow it, we would like to invite you into the Azure Auction Hall as a VIP," he said respectfully. "It would be our honour to host you."

Jensen lowered his hand completely and looked at him calmly.

"Do you have a Talent Crystal?" he asked.

Steward Cha paused for a brief second before answering.

"I have one… but only a Basic Talent Crystal."

He reached into his spatial ring and took out a small crystal, holding it with both hands as he presented it to Jensen.

"It is not of the highest quality, but I hope it would still be of some use to you, young master."

Jensen didn't argue.

He simply nodded and took the Basic Talent Crystal from Steward Cha's hands before turning around and left.
