Chapter 168 - Chapter 168 : I'm Only Doing It to Study Human Technology

"A bit unusual," Yuto said, his expression somewhat surprised and emotional.

Although the small restaurant had many strange customers, there would always be some new arrivals who made him feel intrigued.

When he heard Genos say that he was a mechanically modified human, all kinds of movie plots surfaced in his mind.

Various robot images flashed through his head, and the Genos before him was still one of the better-looking versions among them.

"Hmm—if he's a cyborg, does that mean he can't eat either, like me?" Ainz asked with some confusion, rubbing his jawbone.

"No, Genos can still eat," Saitama answered his close friend's question.

This made Ainz feel disappointed!

Once again, he felt destiny's mocking him.

Logically speaking, both cyborgs and skeletons should be people who could not eat.

Why could the other party eat?

"Because I'm only partially modified," Genos explained calmly. "Although my excretory system has been converted into a mechanical structure, my digestive system has not been altered too much. Digesting simple foods is still possible."

His words surprised the people around him a little.

"In that case, would you like something to eat?" Yuto asked calmly, as usual.

"Ah, I'll still have udon," Saitama said, raising a finger upon realizing he hadn't ordered anything yet.

Genos nodded. "Since Sensei ordered udon, I'll have udon as well."

His words drew surprise and confusion from Ainz and Rimuru.

"Hey, hey, hey. I already said not to call me Sensei," Saitama said, scratching his head helplessly.

"Understood, Sensei."

"If you understood, then don't add 'Sensei'!"

"I understand, Sensei."

Genos's extremely calm and composed words made Saitama feel like he was going crazy.

If he were not bald, he would definitely be vigorously rubbing his own hair right now!

The reason he had arrived so late today was because he had been arguing with Genos over this issue.

Seeing this, Yuto chuckled lightly and walked into the kitchen to prepare the food, leaving Ainz and Rimuru behind to question them about the "Sensei" matter.

Genos roughly described how he and Saitama had met that day: mosquitoes, a monster, near death, rescued, one punch...

As he narrated, Ainz and Rimuru's expressions became surprised.

They couldn't help looking at Saitama.

"Why are you looking at me?" Saitama asked in confusion.

"Saitama, from the way Genos tells it, it feels like you're really strong," Ainz said with a strange expression.

He had never once imagined that his close friend was powerful, after all, Saitama usually looked very blank and had no strong-person aura at all.

"Hmm— I really can't tell at all," Rimuru admitted in confusion.

Before Saitama could say anything, Genos slammed the table. "I will not allow you to question Sensei's strength!"

His attitude was intense and forceful, startling both Ainz and Rimuru.

"Genos!" Saitama's expression became serious.

Although he knew Genos was a brave man, he did not like his disciple treating his friends this way.

"Sorry, Sensei."

Seeing that Saitama was angry, Genos stopped speaking and silently sat upright.

Saitama sighed helplessly.

"Well, I'm just a little stronger than the average person," he said, scratching his head in a dazed way as he looked at Ainz and Rimuru.

Hearing his words, Ainz and Rimuru looked at each other and nodded together, accepting his statement.

As for Genos, he remained silent, his earlier agitation made the other two unwilling to talk with him for now.

"All right, two bowls of udon!" Yuto walked out carrying the food.

After thanking him, Saitama picked up his chopsticks and silently began eating.

When he lowered his head to eat, his bald head was especially dazzling.

Looking at him, Yuto found it difficult to connect Saitama with the words "strong person."

He had overheard the conversation from the kitchen, since the counter was close and there were fewer people, voices carried clearly.

Yuto glanced at Genos, who was also eating.

He did not think the cyborg seemed like someone who would speak without basis.

If Genos was not lying, then Saitama...

For a moment, Yuto developed a bit of curiosity toward Saitama, who was usually the most ordinary and unremarkable person in the restaurant.

Thinking of the situation in Saitama's world—where monsters roamed everywhere and destruction happened daily—perhaps Saitama, whose goal was to become a hero, really was a powerful person!

"Continue telling me what that VR game from earlier is," Fafnir, who was beside Rimuru, spoke in a flat voice.

Rimuru and Ainz vividly described VR games to him.

Yuto watched as Fafnir's eyes went from calm, to slightly surprised, to somewhat understanding.

He could already guess what the dragon was about to say next!

"Boss, get me one of those VR games too."

Yuto looked at him helplessly.

"I am only doing it to study human technology," Fafnir added.

Yuto said he believed him.

'Playing games to study human technology, there seems to be nothing wrong with that...'

After Yuto agreed to the request, the obedient and adorable goddess Eris arrived, bringing a new guest with her.

Sensing a similar aura from the newcomer, Yuto felt that she was probably a goddess as well.

She wore a feathered robe and had semi-transparent, water-colored long hair and eyes.

With a beautiful appearance and an excellent figure, she looked somewhat.... divine.

'She's probably an excellent goddess like Eris!' Yuto thought.

Eris's appearance attracted quite a few gazes.

The customers who had interacted with her the night before all liked the gentle, obedient goddess.

Some, like Rimuru, even admired her a little.

"Hello, everyone." Facing their gazes, Eris blushed slightly, but she didn't lose her composure as she smiled and greeted everyone.

Then she looked toward Yuto. "Boss, I brought my senpai with me. I hope you won't mind."

She clasped her hands together in front of her body and bowed politely.

Yuto immediately understood.

Since this person was her senpai, she was definitely a goddess, confirming his guess.

Looking at the unfamiliar deity, he felt a little anticipation.

As Eris's senpai, she was surely a more mature goddess.

No one disliked a mature and reliable goddess!

"It's fine. Since I run a restaurant, naturally I welcome any guests. Eris, could you introduce your senpai?"

Hearing this, Eris's expression relaxed.

She let out a soft breath and extended both hands respectfully toward her companion.

"This is Lady Aqua. She is my senpai, and in the divine realm, she is a very highly respected goddess."

Eris's respectful introduction made Aqua's expression grow smug and pleased.

Seeing this obvious change in posture, Yuto felt puzzled.

'Perhaps she's not quite that mature...'

"That's right. My name is Aqua, the noble goddess responsible for reincarnating heroes." With a slight smile, Aqua walked up to the counter.

The fluttering feathered scarf around her trembled in the breeze, giving her a transcendent air.

Since her face and figure were both beautiful, even her strangely circular hairstyle could be accepted in this posture.

"My name is—"

"No need! Eris already told me. Boss, bring out the most delicious dish you have. Let me see whether what Eris said was really true!"

Aqua waved her small hand, interrupting Yuto's self-introduction.

Her face carried a strange sort of pride.

Perhaps this was the confidence of a goddess?

Yuto froze slightly at her attitude.

It wasn't that he was angry, he just felt the good impression he had formed of her crack a little.

Based solely on what she had said so far, he felt she could not compare to Eris.

One was gentle and obedient, while the other was strangely arrogant.

Any normal person would choose the gentle one.

Behind Aqua, Eris looked at Yuto with a troubled, helpless, and apologetic expression.

As the junior, she was silently apologizing on behalf of her senpai!
