Yuto gave a soft laugh.
Miku nodded at what he said, then looked down at the salad.
Even though it was not what she really wanted to eat, having even this much salad late at night when she was starving was precious, so she felt thankful.
She had spent the whole day practicing dance in the studio.
When she first debuted, she was supposed to focus only on singing, but before she knew it, singing and dancing had become the trend.
People had to keep growing little by little as they lived, and Miku was no different.
To make herself more complete as a performer, she had worked very hard on dancing too, but compared to singing, it was exhausting.
Miku took a bite of the salad, and a soft, gentle sound escaped her throat and nose.
Her cute face showed a deep sense of happiness.
When you were tired, being able to eat something delicious—even if it was only a salad that didn't really fill you up—was enough to make you happy.
That was one of the special pleasures of this small restaurant that only opened at night, this late-night snack, which felt a little sinful, was always hard to resist!
"Mmm~ ah~ As expected, your food is the best, Boss. Just eating it makes me feel full and at ease," Miku smiled at Yuto.
The corners of Yuto lips lifted slightly.
"Skill is only part of it. The bigger reason is that when you're hungry, everything tastes good."
Miku smiled back at his joke, looking a little happier, and continued eating.
Next to her, Rimuru had already put down his game console and was staring blankly at Miku.
He looked exactly like a fan who had just seen his idol in person, the only strange part was that he was still a slime.
Even Ainz kept pretending to stay calm while sneaking glances at her from time to time!
Yuto looked at the two helplessly and shook his head. "Stop staring! You two keep watching her eat like that... what are you? creeps?"
Both Rimuru and Ainz jerked a little, and even Miku blushed.
All of her attention had been on the food, the comfort and satisfaction the food brought had helped her relax and let go of her nervousness, so she really hadn't noticed the stares.
"Ahhh! Boss! What are you saying?! What do you mean, creeps?! Don't go around ruining my good name for no reason!!!" Rimuru shouted in a panic, looking exactly like someone whose weak spot had just been hit.
Normally, he wouldn't react this strongly, but Miku was here, so he had to protect his image!
He absolutely could not let himself be seen in a bad way!
"That's right. Kamisaka, what you said was wrong. Rimuru was the only one staring at Miku. Why drag me into this?" Ainz crossed his bony arms and spoke in a deep, serious tone.
That quick and shameless attempt to dump all the blame onto Rimuru left even Yuto speechless.
'What kind of friend are you...?'
"Hey, hey, hey! Ainz!!! What nonsense are you saying?! You were staring too, okay?! I saw you turning your head to look at Miku over and over! How can you dump everything on me like that without feeling guilty?!" Rimuru exploded on the spot.
He truly hadn't expected Ainz to throw him under the bus, and it broke the slime's heart.
"Feeling guilty? Hmph! I'm a skeleton now, I don't have a heart to feel!"
"Waaahhh!!! You can actually say something like that?! That really does sound like you!!!"
The two of them somehow started arguing.
Yuto could only look at Miku and helplessly shake his head. "Sorry, Miku. Please forgive these two idiots."
Miku looked a little surprised when he apologized, then quickly shook her head. "It's okay. I'm not angry."
Yuto sighed softly, looking at the two who were still arguing. "Hey! Stop pushing the blame around and apologize to Miku already!"
"Oh, right!"
"That's true, that's true."
The two quickly apologized to Miku, who smiled and said it was fine.
That only made the two of them like her even more.
Yuto shook his head again; he really didn't know what to do with those two anymore.
After finishing her salad, Miku didn't leave right away like last time; instead, she chose to stay seated and rest.
In the middle of a busy schedule, being able to secretly relax without anyone noticing was valuable.
"You've been really tired lately, haven't you?" Yuto asked.
Although he had never been a star himself, he knew celebrities usually had very full schedules.
The way she had rushed off last time already proved that, and even though she hadn't said anything this time, the tiredness on her face was obvious.
Miku looked surprised.
Her bright eyes looked at him, full of confusion. "Is it that obvious?"
Yuto nodded gently.
Miku let out a small, helpless sigh. "There's nothing I can do. I've been preparing for a concert lately, and the schedule has been really tight."
She let out a long breath, stopping her attempts to hide it and simply letting the tired look show on her face.
Even tired like this, she still looked much better than the exhausted goddess nearby.
"Miku-chan, please make sure you take care of yourself! Don't work so hard that you get sick!" As a fan, Rimuru sounded truly worried.
"It's okay. This concert is just a special case, so that's why I'm this tired. Normally I wouldn't be this busy," Miku smiled.
That only made everyone more curious, so she elaborated. "This time it's a charity concert to help poor children. It won't just be me—my older sisters and younger sisters will be performing too. The event is much bigger than usual."
There was a bit of seriousness in Miku's voice, and everyone could tell how much this concert meant to her.
"Your sisters are singers too?" Yuto asked curiously.
"Yep!" Miku nodded with a smile.
Yuto couldn't help thinking, 'A whole family of stars... what kind of lineup is that?'
"Huh?! Miku-chan's sisters are singers too?! That's amazing!!!" Rimuru stared in shock, his round slime body stretching upward to show his excitement.
"Well, they're not all my real sisters. Some are just very close friends," Miku looked a little embarrassed, Rimuru's reaction was a bit too much!
"Miku-chan's sisters must be just as cute as Miku-chan," Rimuru said dreamily.
That sentence sounded a little suspicious if you thought about it too much.
"Rimuru, don't start thinking weird things," Yuto sighed helplessly.
"Huh?! Boss! Don't say things like that and make people misunderstand me!" Rimuru reacted strongly, his slime body wobbling up and down.
Ainz reached out and pressed his bony hand on top of Rimuru.
"No need to explain, Rimuru. We understand."
"Hah?! Ainz!!!" Rimuru immediately shook off the hand and quickly looked toward Miku.
The idol girl was now looking at him in a slightly strange way, crushing the slime inside.
"Miku-chan, please don't misunderstand! I was only imagining it in a completely innocent way! I really didn't mean anything weird!"
Miku smiled and said it was okay, but her eyes still looked strange.
Ah... he had been misunderstood.
His life as a slime no longer had any meaning!
Yuto sighed helplessly too, not knowing what to do with Rimuru.
Comfort him? Forget it; he could just stay sad by himself for a while.
Instead, Yuto continued chatting with Miku, curious about her star sisters.
Miku briefly told him about a few of her older and younger "sisters": Luka, the calm and mature older sister, Rin, the younger one who could be a little airheaded at times and Luo Tianyi.
Even though they were songstresses from different countries, they were all close friends.
Every time she talked about one of them, a bright, happy smile appeared on her face.
Because they all performed in different places, even family members rarely had the chance to gather.
For all of them, this charity concert was a chance to reunite, a thought that filled Miku with joy.
As Yuto listened, his expression kept changing.
Even Rimuru started listening closely again.
Beside Miku, Sakura's eyes were full of longing.
Every girl had her own princess dream, and a star loved by thousands really was a kind of princess.
Miku noticed the look in Sakura's eyes.
Her own eyes lit up as she looked at Yuto.
"Boss, why don't you and everyone come too?" she smiled.
Miku's concert was going to be held three days later, meaning Thursday in Yuto's world.
Having nothing planned that day, he agreed. Thinking about it, he had never been to a concert before.
After all, the world in his previous life had changed too quickly, and he had barely gotten the chance to enjoy it before everything fell apart.
As for those celebrities, most had ended up in miserable situations.
Still, Yuto was really looking forward to Miku's concert.
He had heard her sing before, and her voice truly reached straight into a person's heart, out of all the songs he had heard, Miku's singing easily ranked first.
Hearing that her sisters were every bit as good as she was made him look forward to it even more.
As for the others...
Rimuru and Ainz's answer was obvious.
Saitama agreed too, but Genos turned down Miku's invitation because he had to go replace some parts that day.
His refusal actually made Ainz and Rimuru happy, if he went with them, his personality would definitely ruin the mood!
Sakura and Hestia agreed as well.
Lord El-Melloi II was busy teaching his students at the Clock Tower in London every day, so he had no time.
Iskandar wasn't very interested either; compared to the concert, he seemed more interested in checking out Miku's world and thinking about how to conquer it.
After getting everyone's answers, Miku left.
Since she had sneaked out, being able to rest a little at the restaurant was enough.
After Miku left, Rimuru let out a very sad sigh.
Yuto didn't understand this kind of fan feeling, finding it strange instead.
She had only come to the restaurant twice, how had Rimuru changed this fast?
"Boss, you don't understand. The charm of a girl idol is something a simple man like you can't possibly understand. The moment I first saw Miku-chan, I knew it. Miku-chan is not just some ordinary idol girl! Miku-chan sings well, she's pretty, she has a good personality, and she's so kind and easy to approach! She's basically the princess of my dreams! If Miku-chan had debuted in my original world, she absolutely would have become a top world-class idol!!!"
Someone once said that celebrity fans were a very scary kind of creature, losing all reason for the sake of their idol and doing things normal people couldn't understand.
Yuto hadn't really understood that before, but looking at Rimuru, he finally did.
Fans really were a strange group.
"Mhm... mhm... mm-hm..."
While Rimuru talked, Ainz kept nodding beside him.
