(LIAM'S POV)
The back to their room walk felt endless and too short all at once. My bare feet padded against the cool hardwood, heart thundering. Roland walked on my other side, close enough that I could feel his presence like a steady flame and my body simply didn't know how to react to it.
Their bedroom door opened into a space that took my breath away.
It was enormous—easily twice the size of the guest room. Soft, ambient lighting from recessed fixtures covered everything in a golden haze. The walls were a deep, soothing charcoal with warm wooden accents. A massive stone fireplace sat dormant on one wall, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked the same moonlit forest I'd seen from my room. But the centerpiece was the bed.
Holy hell. It was gigantic. A custom king—maybe even bigger—dressed in layers of soft gray and cream linens, piled high with pillows that looked like clouds. It could easily fit five people without anyone touching.
