"Which fake rumor do you want to tell me this time?"
The guard shook his head, his chin raised high. "My dear brother, this information I'm about to share with you is unlike the others. From what I heard, this city was created by mythic beasts, and we actually have a city lord!"
The other guard stared at his colleague before bursting into laughter. "You sure are crazy! What do you mean, created by mythic beasts? And hasn't it already been nine months since they confirmed that we have no city lord? Lady Tamara is the highest rank in the city."
The other gatekeeper shook his head again. "No, no, brother. You see… my friend who works in the administrative building said she saw him. According to her, he looked like a fairy or an angel that was thrown down to tempt the awakened."
