Chapter 315 - Chapter 315: Patrol, the Little Sheep’s New Move

[Chikorita's Egg (Healthy) (Accelerated Hatching): A sound is coming from inside! It seems like it will hatch soon!]

"Don't worry. The Chikorita will be born very soon."

"Megaa~~"

Meganium moved closer and gently nudged the eggs with its head, its eyes filled with affection as it looked at the five Pokémon eggs.

After confirming that the Chikorita eggs were fine, Silas said his farewell and continued along the path toward the garden.

Cinccino and the other little ones were currently chatting with the Florges and the Psyduck about the interesting things they had seen outside. They especially focused on describing the small town that had been built entirely by Pokémon.

The Psyduck tilted their heads foolishly with blank expressions, clearly confused, while the Florges showed looks of interest. A town built by Pokémon certainly sounded fascinating.

"Flor!" ×5

"Psyduuck~" ×2

As soon as the Florges noticed Silas approaching, they quickly surrounded him. Meanwhile, the two Psyduck went straight for his waist pouch, pecking at it while demanding food.

Using both hands, Silas pressed down on each Psyduck's head and replied with a smile.

"That's fine. You can ask Dragonite to take you there. Its speed is extremely fast, so it won't take long to go there and come back."

"Flor~"

With his approval, the Florges happily prepared to go find Dragonite and ask for its help.

"As for you two…"

Silas raised his hand and knocked each Psyduck lightly on the head. Only then did the two of them finally calm down.

But in the very next moment...

"Psy~!"

Four streams of water suddenly shot out at the same time as the Psyduck burst into loud wailing cries.

Their tears soaked more than half of Silas's clothes. The Psyduck cried as if they had suffered some great injustice.

"Cin Cin~!" (Silas cannot bully the duckies. They only wanted some Oran Berries!)

Cinccino hurried over to comfort them, but unfortunately the effect was rather minimal.

"Stop crying. I will give you an extra Oran Berry."

Silas took two Oran Berries out of his pouch. The moment the Psyduck saw them, their crying immediately stopped.

"Psyduck!"

The Psyduck stared without blinking at the berries in Silas's hands, drool already flowing from their flat duck bills.

Silas tossed the berries to them and quickly increased his pace, leaving the scene while strolling through the garden.

The garden had been maintained very well by the Florges. Before leaving previously, Silas had given the red flower Florges the flower seeds he had collected from the flower fields of the Nebel Plateau and asked them to take care of planting them.

After leaving the garden, Silas walked toward the lake.

Giant Dragonite was lazily lying on the grass beside the lake, resting peacefully, while Veluza poked half its body out of the water's surface.

When they noticed Silas arriving, Clawitzer floated up from beneath the water.

Everyone was there.

Silas carefully checked the bodies of Clawitzer and Veluza one by one. Both of them were perfectly healthy. After giving them a few reminders, Silas continued on toward the stables.

The Mudsdale brothers were still the same as always. When Silas walked toward the Mareep pasture, they slowly followed behind him at a leisurely pace.

Earlier, he had heard from the older brother Indeedee about what happened, so Silas focused his attention on observing Lazy Mareep.

A large patch of wool was missing from its rear, revealing pale skin underneath that had been covered with a piece of cloth.

Fortunately, Lazy Mareep's wool was thick enough that its body had not been injured.

"Maaa~"

After Silas finished checking it, Lazy Mareep nudged him, clearly asking for something delicious. It wanted to eat the tasty grass cake.

"Later, okay? The Indeedee siblings are still preparing the ingredients."

Since he had returned, Silas naturally planned to cook a big meal for all the Pokémon. Earlier, when he went to Lumiose City with Cyclizar, he had also purchased plenty of ingredients along the way.

Silas reached out and messed up the "little poop shaped tuft" on top of Lazy Mareep's head. With a displeased look, Lazy Mareep immediately ran away.

Silas withdrew his gaze and turned to look at the two small Flaaffy standing upright in front of him.

He gently squeezed their soft little hooves, his voice filled with gratitude.

"Thanks to you two. Otherwise Lazy might have gotten hurt."

"Flaaa~" ×2

The two little sheep shook their heads.

Lazy Mareep was their companion as well. Protecting their companions was a task Silas had given them.

"Mm, mm. You two are already very strong now. You can protect everyone."

"Flaa! (ò_óˇ)?"

Burly showed a cool expression while striking a bodybuilding pose, as if trying to prove to Silas that it had become very strong.

Silas watched the two Flaaffy in front of him with great interest. Because of their different personalities, they gave off completely different vibes.

Compared to their previous Mareep form, Flaaffy had grown quite a bit.

First was their wool. The white wool now only surrounded their neck and the top of their heads.

The stripes on their ears and tails had also changed, now showing pink and black stripes. The ball at the end of their tails had turned blue.

And the changes did not stop there.

The exposed skin of Flaaffy had a rubber like texture, and their fluffy wool could now store several times more electricity than when they were Mareep.

"Ding ding!"

The blue orb at the end of Happy's tail released a flash of electricity. This was a sign that its wool had fully stored electrical energy.

Silas reached out and rubbed Happy's slightly numb and electrified wool. Fortunately, his skin was thick enough that this small amount of electricity could not really harm him.

"Now that you have evolved, did you learn any new moves?"

"Flaaa~" (Silas, Silas, look at me!)

Burly was the first to demonstrate. After putting some distance between them to ensure safety, it targeted a nearby tree stump.

Its hind legs kicked against the ground, the wool around its neck puffing up. In the next moment it shot forward suddenly.

With a dull bang, its small body slammed directly into the tree stump, leaving behind a dent the size of a bowl.

"A Normal type physical move, Take Down. That really fits Boiling Sheep's personality."

"Flaa!"

Burly shook its head and immediately turned around proudly, raising its chin while striking another bodybuilding pose.

Its ears stood straight up as it waited eagerly for Silas's praise.

"Clap clap clap. Impressive, impressive. A tree stump that thick is almost about to be broken by your charge."

At the side, Happy softly bleated and calmly stepped forward in front of the tree stump.

Small sparks of electricity began flickering across its body, while the blue orb at the end of its tail shone brightly.

This was the move Charge.

As the name suggested, the Pokémon entered a charged state. While in this state, the power of its next Electric type move would be doubled.

In addition, the user's Special Defense would also increase by one stage.

Once its body had fully accumulated electricity, Happy raised its head, jumped high into the air, and swung out a ball of electricity that was twice the normal size.

With a sharp whoosh, the electric ball struck the tree stump.

There was no harsh explosion. Instead, a soft pale blue electrical glow spread outward like a thin veil wrapping around the stump. When the light finally faded, a large hole had been blasted right through the middle of the wood.

Well then.

One of his battle sheep had taken the physical attack path, while the other had taken the special attack route. It seemed that Burly would probably live under Happy's shadow for the rest of its life.

It might not seem very obvious right now, but once they eventually evolved into Ampharos…

A physical attacking Ampharos simply did not have much going for it. Not only were its base stats less suited for physical attacks, it also lacked many effective moves.

Silas shook his head.

If it really came to that, he could always strengthen Burly through cooking enhancements to help make up the difference.

After giving Happy a few more encouraging compliments, Silas dusted off his pants and prepared to head back.

It was already getting late. Time to go back and cook dinner.

And so, by the time Silas returned to the ranch cabin, the Mudsdale were following behind him, along with the little sheep herd.

He gestured for them to play outside in front of the house while he quickly entered the kitchen.

With the help of the Indeedee siblings, he began cooking dish after dish. Of course, Silas did not forget to experiment with creating new recipes as well.

Some of the cooking effects turned out good, some turned out bad. Most of them still produced common effects such as stamina recovery or energy restoration.

But just as Silas finished preparing the dish currently in his hands, the information on the system panel suddenly changed.
