Chapter 30 - Could it be that I, He, am a genius?

boom! ! !

A deafening roar erupted as two elbows clashed. Ent stared at Hermes with murderous intent, each word spoken with unwavering resolve, "Kid, you're not leaving here today. Don't think that just because you killed Boom Rabbit you're qualified to provoke me."

Hermes did not answer, but pointed his left hand at the gun with lightning speed, demonstrating to Ent that Hermes was not only provoking him, but also intending to kill him.

He'd seen plenty of people who just talked big.

Ent slammed his hoof down, cracking the ground beneath their feet. Then, he swept out with a kick at the same time, creating a gust of wind that sent both of their hair flying wildly.

Hermes slashed horizontally with his elbow, but Ent dodged by bending over and bracing himself with one hand. Hermes' hooves shot straight at Hermes' chin like cannonballs. Hermes instantly shrank by five millimeters, leaped behind Ent, and returned to his normal size before delivering a powerful kick.

Most people wouldn't be able to react to this kind of attack, but Ent is different.

The tail that had been idle suddenly wrapped itself around Hermes's large foot with surprising agility, not only hindering Hermes's attack but also lifting him up.

The center of gravity is lost.

Hermes shrank again and easily broke free from Ent's restraints.

Another impact sent both men staggering backward, their expressions grave.

no doubt.

Ent has the advantage in strength, but Hermes is more agile, especially with his ability to change size, which, combined with his Observation Haki, makes him very difficult to attack.

Unless Hermes was deliberately struck.

"Little brat, what kind of fruit did you eat?"

Ent felt he was being dealt with.

He wasn't afraid of head-on opponents, but those agile players gave him a bit of a headache.

"madness."

Hermes was speechless.

He's not mentally challenged; he can at least use a smartphone, doesn't just pick up trash to eat, and knows to run home when it rains. How could he be so foolish as to tell the enemy about his abilities?

Swish! ! !

Hermes's pitying contempt infuriated Ent, who stopped talking and began to attack.

With each powerful collision, the two exchanged blows, their fists landing squarely. Hermes did not dodge unless absolutely necessary, but instead met the blows head-on.

Whether or not I can defeat the opponent is not important; the main thing is to hone my skills through combat.

There are definitely risks, but as long as his life is guaranteed, Hermes can freely jump around in battle.

"King's Iron Block".

With all his might, Hermes withstood Ent's hoof strike.

The immense force caused Hermes to slide two meters backward, his feet sinking deep into the ground. His chest burned intensely, but he was not seriously injured.

None of his ribs were broken.

He just spat out a mouthful of blood.

It can still hold on.

"Is this all you have?"

Hermes straightened up and mocked.

"court death."

With a cold look in his eyes, Ent launched himself towards Hermes with a burst of energy.

Boom boom boom! ! !

The battle intensified, and the noise naturally alerted those nearby. Soon, news spread that the pirate hunter Hermes Jormungandr was fighting the giraffe Ent.

On the violent family's side, Boom Wolf arrived with his men immediately.

After spitting out a mouthful of foul-smelling blood, Hermes endured several more enthusiasms. His once smooth chest was now covered in bruises, looking as if he had suffered horrific torture, making him almost unbearable to look at.

Hermes, however, was very excited because his proficiency with the iron block was increasing rapidly.

"Giraffe Engraving".

Ent's hair stood on end, and he grew increasingly frightened and annoyed as the fight progressed, unleashing a powerful combo.

It was dubbed a "death combo".

On the open sea, those who could withstand such a move are extremely rare.

"King's Iron Block".

Hermes clenched his fists, concentrating all his strength in his chest, which visibly swelled up, showing his determination to continue resisting this wave.

kindness?

what happened?

suddenly.

Hermes felt a strange power surge up in his chest from who-knows-where, instantly raising his defenses to a new level.

That feeling was so obvious.

Hermes had no time to think, because Ent's attacks came one after another, each wave higher than the last.

Gradually.

Hermes' feet began to sink into the ground, and he continued to move sideways.

The pain I had imagined wasn't as great as I thought; the opponent's attacks seemed weaker than before.

What the hell is this?

Ent was also puzzled, because he could feel the hardness of the other party's chest, and the defensive power was obviously not on the same level as before.

"damn it."

The roars continued.

Ent continued his relentless attack, while Hermes withstood it head-on. The strange power grew clearer and stronger.

call out! ! !

With a final, powerful blow, Hermes was unable to withstand the force and was sent flying, rolling on the ground before crashing into a corner of the wall, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth and his face pale.

However, Hermes didn't care about any of that.

He just thought of a possibility.

The thought of that possibility made his heart pound wildly, just like when he first awakened his Observation Haki—it just happened out of nowhere.

They didn't even say hello.

It was very sudden.

What a surprise!

This strange power is very likely Armament Haki.

In the world of One Piece, Haki is extremely important, especially Armament Haki, which can increase attack and defense power; it is a versatile and effective weapon.

You may not have a Devil Fruit or the Six Powers, but you must possess Observation Haki and Armament Haki, otherwise you simply cannot reach the level of a strong person.

Damn it.

Am I, He, some kind of genius? Or is this some kind of cheat code from my time travel, an enhancement of my talent?

Excited.

Excited.

Hermes' feelings at this moment were indescribable.

We must not let this feeling disappear. Just like when we first practiced Observational Colors, we must quickly become familiar with and apply them. When the opportunity comes, we must seize it.

The best solution, then, is naturally to fight.

Hermes was like a tomcat in heat, his eyes brighter than ever before, almost howling.

Seeing the greed on Ent's face put immense pressure on him.

Because the other person's energy and spirit changed so obviously, they wanted to devour him alive, without even taking off his clothes, and were somewhat indiscriminate in their hunger.

"kill!!!"

Ent suppressed his emotions and launched another attack.

Hermes also rushed out, eager to be beaten.

"A violent kick."

"King's Iron Block".

The sound of steel clashing filled the air. Hermes puffed out his chest and leaned closer to Ent's attack, carefully sensing the strange power within.

Hermes vomited blood as if it were free, yet the more he vomited, the more energetic he became.

"How can it be!"

"It can still stand after withstanding so many attacks from the captain."

Some pirates in the distance were completely dumbfounded.

Hermes looked disheveled, on the verge of death, yet he managed to withstand Ent's attacks each time, even howling for Ent to use more force.

His frenzied and greedy appearance was just like that of a mentally unstable person with insatiable desires.

Somewhat creepy.

"Don't stop!"

Hermes got up from the ground again, gagging.

Meanwhile, Ent, who was panting heavily, was feeling quite uneasy.

This kid is too stubborn.

They're practically indestructible! Who is the real Zoan-type Devil Fruit user?

"Ah Lala~"

"Found you."

Just as Ent was about to continue his output, a bicycle came from a distance. The lazy sound made Ent freeze on the spot, his hair stood on end, and he swallowed hard as he shakily turned his head.

Hermes' expression also froze, completely unexpected to encounter such an important figure here.

A bicycle, round-framed sunglasses, a green mesh eye mask, a blue V-neck shirt under a black overcoat—he looked slumped over, as if he hadn't slept well, and he was incredibly irritating.
