White.
That's the first thing I saw.
Just white.
No sound.No pain.No feeling.
Just an endless white space stretching in every direction.
For a moment, I wondered if I had died.
Then I heard a voice.
"Ren! You're burning the eggs again!"
The white shifted.
Suddenly I was standing in a kitchen.
Not the dorm kitchen at U.A. High School.
A smaller one.
Warmer.
Kaito was laughing at the table.
His mom was shaking her head while smiling.
"Kid," she said, "you're gonna burn the house down one day."
I laughed.
"Relax, I got it!"
The scene changed again.
Memories
Birthday candles.
Everyone shouting.
"Happy birthday!"
Kaito throwing an arm around my shoulders.
Eijiro Kirishima yelling about how "manly" the party was.
Denki Kaminari trying to steal cake early.
Mina Ashido laughing so hard she almost fell off her chair.
Then another memory.
Training.
Shota Aizawa standing with his usual tired expression.
"You're sloppy," he said.
"But you're improving."
Another shift.
The dorm.
Movie nights.
Root beer.
Chips.
Everyone piled into the blanket fort.
Even the creepy sticky notes from Himiko Toga somehow felt funny in those moments.
Because my friends were there.
And everything was okay.
The memories kept flashing.
Cooking breakfast.
Training together.
Laughing until our stomachs hurt.
Then—
The white space trembled.
A drop of red fell onto the floor.
Then another.
Then another.
The white world slowly turned crimson.
The memories started breaking apart.
And the last thing I heard before everything shattered was Kaito's voice.
"Ren… run…"
Reality
My eyes snapped open.
Pain exploded through my entire body.
I was lying in the middle of the ruined courtyard.
Smoke drifted through the air.
The ground was cracked.
Buildings were broken.
And blood…
There was blood everywhere.
I pushed myself up slowly.
My hands were shaking.
My vision blurred.
Then I saw them.
Kaito.
Kirishima.
Denki.
Mina.
They were all on the ground.
Not moving.
Teachers and heroes too.
Even Aizawa was trapped under debris, barely conscious.
My heart stopped.
"…No."
A quiet voice spoke nearby.
"Ah."
The scientist stood across the battlefield.
His lab coat torn slightly.
But otherwise untouched.
"Subject survived neural override."
He began typing something into a small device.
"Fascinating."
Something inside my chest cracked.
"…You did this."
The scientist looked up.
"Of course."
"You are the result of seventeen years of research."
My breathing became uneven.
"You hurt them."
He shrugged.
"Acceptable casualties."
The Ground
Something strange began to happen beneath my feet.
The cracked pavement started sparking.
But not like fire.
Not electricity.
Colors flickered through the ground.
White.
Blue.
Red.
Green.
Yellow.
Pink.
Even colors I couldn't name.
All at once.
My hands clenched.
My entire body felt like it was on fire.
Something inside me was breaking open.
The scientist stared at the energy.
"…Impossible."
"Multi-elemental quirk resonance?"
He took a step forward.
"No…"
"…Full-spectrum manifestation?"
My head dropped.
And something inside me snapped.
The Rampage
I disappeared.
One second I was standing there.
The next—
My foot slammed into his chest.
The impact launched him straight through the academy wall.
The building exploded outward in debris.
I followed him instantly.
He tried to stand.
I kicked him again.
The floor shattered beneath him.
"You hurt my friends!"
Flames exploded around my arm as I punched him through another wall.
He tried to counterattack.
Dark shadows erupted from the ground and wrapped around his arms.
"What—?!"
I slammed him back outside.
The courtyard cratered when he landed.
Water burst from the cracked pipes beneath the ground and slammed him downward.
"You think you can just show up—"
Stone spikes erupted from the earth, pinning him.
"—hurt everyone—"
Wind exploded around me.
The pressure crushed him deeper into the ground.
"—AND WALK AWAY?!"
Blood surged from the cuts on my hands, locking his muscles.
The scientist struggled.
But he couldn't move.
His eyes widened.
"…Complete quirk convergence…"
"…You've become the singularity…"
I grabbed him by the collar and lifted him off the ground.
Every element around us was going insane.
Fire.
Wind.
Water.
Shadows.
Stone.
Energy.
All spiraling around me.
"You made me," I growled.
"You experimented on me."
"You hunted me."
My grip tightened.
"But you made one mistake."
The scientist barely managed to whisper,
"…What…?"
I looked at my friends lying across the battlefield.
Then back at him.
"You hurt the people I care about."
Then I slammed him into the ground one final time.
The explosion shook the entire campus.
When the dust cleared…
The scientist wasn't moving.
At all.
Silence
The energy slowly faded.
The colors disappeared.
The elements settled.
My body felt heavy.
Too heavy.
I looked around the destroyed battlefield.
My friends.
My teachers.
The heroes.
"…Please…"
My voice shook.
"Please be alive…"
Then everything went dark.
