Jay-Jay's POV:
Since I enrolled late in the class, Sir gave me copies of the lessons I missed. Thankfully, the lectures they've covered so far aren't too advanced.
Sir Alvin is our English teacher and also the adviser of Section E. My start in this class section was pretty rough, but for now, things have quieted down.
*Tik *Tok *Toink
I'm trying to focus! Can't I get a moment of piece? Is there a ghost or something?
I've been getting hit with small rolled-up pieces of paper in my seat. When I look around to see where they're coming from, the whole class acts innocent.
What's your problem?! What did I even do to you?!
We moved on to the next subject, but the same thing kept happening. There were no scattered pieces of paper around me.
Stay calm, Jay. They're just trying to mess with you!
I tried to focus on the lecture again. Like Sir Alvin, the next teacher also gave me a copy of the previous lessons.
I was busy writing when I suddenly felt something hit my hair. I touched it and immediately felt something..... wet?
They threw a wet piece of paper at me. I didn't need to ask where the water came from. The fastest and easiest water source for anyone is their mouth.
Yunk! Eeewww!!
I quickly grabbed tissues and alcohol from my bag. Always prepared, girl Scout style!
The next few classes went by, but the same thing kept happening. Ugh!!
As soon as the teacher left, I stood up and faced the whole class. I gave them a sharp glare.
"WHO KEEPS THROWING STUFF AT ME?!" I shouted angrily.
No one answered, so I was about to speak again when suddenly, everyone raised their hands. Each of them was holding a crumpled piece of paper rolled into a ball. Paper ball, the kind you crumple until they're the size of an apple.
All of them were ready to throw them at me. I'm doomed!
I saw Keifer smirking. He stood up and positioned himself like he was about to pitch in a baseball game.
My eyes widened at his stance. What did I get myself into, Jay-Jay?
I gulped and close my eyes as I saw him throw the paper ball at me. After it hit my face, move paper balls came flying at me one after another.
"Aarrrgghhhh....." I screamed.
It didn't hut, but I couldn't fight back or move because there were so many.
Along with the throwing, there was laughter.
"Keep it up... Hahaha"
"We've got plenty more...."
"Hahaha..... "
I know there only about 15 of them, but it felt like more than 100 we're throwing at me.
"Aarrrgghhhh.... What's your problem?!" I shouted at them, but of course, it didn't faze them.
I had no choice but to grab my bag and quickly rum out of the room.
They kept throwing at me until I was out the door, but they finally stopped when I was completely out.
I didn't stop running until I was far away from the building.
They were so harah on me! Maybe I shouldn't have talked back to Keifer earlier.
It was lunchtime, so I decided to head straight to the cafeteria to eat. I went inside and got in line.
I was busy looking around while in line when I heard a familiar voice.
"That was so funny.... Hahaha.... " It was Rakki and her classmates.
I immediately turned away from them.
Why is this line so long?!
"Hey Rakki..... " I heard someone call her. I'm not one to eavesdrop, but I couldn't help but listen.
"What's up Mykel?" Rakki greeted.
"I heard you meet the transferee.... What do you think?"
Are they talking about me?
"Uhmmm... She's pretty and a little noob."
Should I be happy? They complimented me but also insulted me. What's that supposed to mean
Why is this line moving so slowly?
"Hahaha... What do you mean?"
"She went to our section instead of Section E's room."
They all burst out laughing, including Rakki's classmates. So embarrassing!
"That must've been embarrassing."
You're telling me! The line finally moved, and I reached the cashier. I bought two meals because I knew I'd need energy. I also got a big pack of Piattos, Nova and Cheappy.
I asked for everything to be takout because I didn't plan on showing my face in Section C. It's too embarrassing!
I got my food and quickly walked toward the cafeteria door, but I stopped when I rain into Aries. My cousin.
His brows furrowed when he saw me. I froze in place. I'm in trouble!
"Hey Aries! Over here!" Rakki called out.
But neither of us moved.
I felt someone approach us until...
"Jay-Jay? You're here..." Rakki greeted me. ".... Guys, this is the transferee."
Rakki put her arm around me and introduced me to the people in the cafeteria. It was too late for me to resist.
"This is Jay-Jay.... The one I was talking about earlier," Rakki introduced.
I just bowed my head. I didn't know who I should be more embarrassed for----- the people here or Aries.
Aries left when he found out I'd be staying with them. Our relationship isn't great because of the things I did in the past.
"So Jay-Jay..... How's your experience with Section E?" One of the guys asked. I think his nama was Mykel.
I couldn't answer. I didn't want to tell them the whole Section E had been messing with me. And I didn't want Section E to think I was tattling on them.
"I-It's fine.... They're nice to me." I forced a smile.
"I think that's a lie. Section E is all barbaric. They have records inside and outside of school," Rakki said.
I frowned at when I heard. Barbaric? That's a bit extreme.
"No need to worry... Jay will fit well in that Section," Aries said.
I looked at him. I didn't know what he meant by that.
I knew I'd only embarrass myself more if I stayed. I slowly removed Rakki's arm from around me.
"R-Rakki.... I need to go. Sorry."
I didn't wait for their response. I quickly left the cafeteria. I don't know why, but the atmosphere there was so overwhelming.
I also felt embarrassed around Aries.
I used to be a troublemaker at my old school. Coming from a broken family, I rebelled. My grandma took me in, hoping to give me a better life, but I didn't really work out.
Then my grandma had a heart attack because of a fight I got into. My aunts got mad at me, except for Tita Gema-----Aries' mom. She was the only one who made me feel like it wasn't entirely my fault.
Feeling ashamed, I decided to leave. Tita Gema took me in since they didn't have a daughter. I agreed and promised my grandma and the others that I'd turn my life around.
When I go to their place, I thought things would get better, but Aries got mad when he saw me. He said if I didn't leave, he would. Tita didn't do anything, so Aries left, and that's when we saw each other again.
It's been really hard for Tita Gema, I can feel it, even if she doesn't say it. If only Aries knew I've changed.
I didn't realize I had already reached the Section E building. Wait! I can't go in there yet. I'm sure they'll mess with me again, and I won't be able to eat properly.
I looked around. I decided to grab a table and chair that looked decent and set up there to eat.
I opened the first meal I bought.
I also put a tissue on my blouse. I didn't want any food stains on it.
Our uniform is a simple blouse with a black necktie and a skirt two inches above the knee. The necktie indicates our year level. There are white stripes on it. Since we've fourth-year students, there are four stripes.
I finished the first meal and was about to open the second one when someone snatched it from me. Faster than Flash.
"I'll take this!" shouted the classmate who grabbed my meal.
There was nothing I could do. Other classmates gathered around him, fighting over the food like vultures.
I saw Keifer leaning against the wall. He was just watching our classmates fight over the food.
"Share it!"
"Give us some!"
"It's mine!"
They're like starving animals. Didn't they have lunch?
"Sorry about them, they're just hungry," Someone said.
I looked at the person who spoke, who was now sitting next at me. Who's this? Popping up out of nowhere?
He was one of the guys I talked to earlier. The one with Keifer. His hair was brown.
"I'm Felix, by the way..." He introduced himself and held out his hand.
But I ignored him. What does he think? After they sent me to the wrong room earlier? Forget it!
I just grabbed the big pack of Piattos from my bag. I was about to open it when someone snatched it again.
"Hey, stop that!" I shouted.
The their diappeared, buried under the crowed of our hungry classmates. What's wrong with them?
What's up with my classmates? Vultures? Theyuworse than eagles when it comes to snatching food.
"Hahaha.... Don't take out any more food," Felix said.
I glared at him irritable. "What's wrong wrong with your classmates? Starving or something?"
He laughed at what I said. "Hahaha..... Kind of."
I felt like I'd lost all my food because of how annoyed I was with my classmates. They just scattered the wrappers and leftovers on the floor.
Are they really that hungry?
