Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: Letter full of love

Aries's POV:

"Can't you talk to Jay-jay?"

Ella asked me.

I shook my head. Even if I wanted to, she wouldn't listen. I feel like she's become even more stubborn lately.

"

DAMN IT!

"Mykel shouted.

He's been like that for a while now. I can't blame him. He really likes Mica.

" Relax, Mykel. They're just going to talk;it doesn't mean they're getting back together," Kiko said.

"You don't understand me! That's because you don't any competition for Freya!" Mykel replied angrily.

Kiko chuckled. "Who said I like Freya? She's not my type!"

I frowned at what Kiko said. Was he referring to Jay? Was he really serious about liking Jay? I can't believe this!

"Enough of that!" I interrupted them.

"Kiko is right, Mykel. They're just going to talk. If you want, I can talk to Mica first," Ella said.

She really doesn't like Calix. Well, he did make Mica cry. Any friend would be angry if someone did that to their friend.

"Don't bother, Ella. It's clear from your conversation that she doesn't want Calix anymore, right?" Mykel asked.

Ella nodded. I don't know how long we'll have to wait. This should just be Mykel's problem----I don't know why we got dragged into it.

Jay-jay's POV:

"Boom! Kabooom! Aarrgghhh! Optimus!"

That's Ci-N. He's playing with..... uh..... what do you call those toys that come inside snack packs?

Transformers?!

Whatever! And they're tiny. I bought two packs of one-peso snacks. I didn't know there were toys inside. And of course, who else would end up with them? My annoying classmates-----Ci-N got the toy.

"Here it comes! Kaaa-blaaag! Bumblebee!

" Cut it out, Ci! I'll make you eat that!" Calix scolded.

"Leave him alone!" I contradicted.

This kid is just playing, and he's stopping him?

"You're the one who should stop! You've been walking back and forth for a while now!" I pointed out.

Ever since we got back to the room, he hasn't done anything but walk around, sit down, pace the room, and pick fights with our classmates.

"She still hasn't texted. She said she'd text me where," Calix said while continuing to pace.

"Maybe she doesn't have any load," one of our classmates, who was busy playing with Ci-N, replied.

Yeah, someone was actually playing with him. I just don't know his name.

"Yeah, that's makes sense..... Wait, what's your name?"

"We've been classmates for so long, and you still don't know my name?"

"If I knew, do you think I'd ask?" I snapped.

Just say your name instead of asking questions.

"Tsk! Eren de Luna," He answered.

"Okay..." I turned back to Calix. "Eren is right. Maybe she doesn't have load."

Calix didn't answer. He just started at his phone again and continued what he was doing.

Even I was starting to get impatient. On top of that, we didn't have class----Ms. Zaragoza wasn't here.

I took out my phone. I'll just play a game. When I opened it, I saw I had a text from an unknown number.

From: +639

*****************

Message: "Mica here..... Please tell Calix to meet me at our usual meeting place after school. Thanks."**

Why did she text me? Looks like this text was sent a while ago. I walked over to Calix and showed him my phone.

" She actually texted me. Hehe," I said with a forced smile. Calic grabbed my phone and stared at the message.

"Happy now? Can you stop pacing?" I asked him. He handed my phone back and sat quietly in his seat. There! Problem solved!

Our next teacher arrived for the next class. Time seemed to slow down.

This must be what they mean by

"It feels like eternity. "

Calix was clearly restless, like he was sitting on hot coals.

"Make a report about national heros. Do it now! Here are your group members," Ms. Smith ordered. She really doesn't act like a teacher. But she's cool and sexy.

"... Mariano, Peralta, Braselton, and Rivera....." she called out. Nice! David, Ci-N, and of course, Calix.

We moved out seats closer to Calix. It was obvious he had no plans of leaving his spot.

"What are we supposed to do?" I asked while rummaging through my bag for paper. "I don't know...." Ci-N answered. I took out my notebook. I'll write down our tasks first. "I'll write!" Ci volunteered and snatched my notebook.

But because he was careless, my notebook fell. Papers tucked inside scattered everywhere. "Oh, great!" I picked them up along with the loose pages. I was about to grab the last one when Calix beat me to it.

The love letter.

"Why do you have thi? Where did you get it?!" He angrily asked. To be honest, I forgot I even had that. It completely slipped my mind for a long time. I thought I had thrown it away, but it turns out it was still in my notebook.

"U-uh...." Our classmates were now staring at us.

"Can't you do your work without making noise?!" Ms. Smith scolded us.

"WHERE?!" Calix yelled.

"Upstairs, in the room----HEY!" Calix suddenly bolted out of the room. Our classmates stood up, looking between me and the door.

"What just happened?" Ms. Smith asked calmly.

I scratched my head. "Well... um..."

"Just follow him if you can't explain," She said, sounding bored. So I did and quickly walked out. I was sure he was heading upstairs because that's where the letter came from.

I was nearing the room when I heard someone crying. It was coming from the room where I had found the letter. I peeked inside carefully.

It was Calix. He was kneeling head down, looking at the scattered papers on the floor. I shouldn't approach him in moment like this.

I knew he wanted to be alone. But then again..... I slowly sat beside him. "C-can I----"

"Don't talk yet. I don't want a lecture," He said, so I stayed quiet. I didn't know if I should leave or just sit beside him.

"Sh-she always gave me letters. I-I loved reading them," He said, still crying.

"I-I how can I even show her that now? I-I was such an idiot!" He suddenly hit his own head. I was startled, so I quickly stopped him. His crying grew louder.

Before, I used to laugh when I saw guys crying like this. But now, all I felt was pity. I hugged him. No malice! He kept crying, and I started tearing up too. I hate drama! So annoying!

After a few minutes, he finally stopped. Heread each paper in front of him-----letters from mica.

I picked one up and opened it. I'm nosy like that. But the letter I got had a part that said:

" Just shout that you love me, and all of this will go away."

He smiled. "I hope that actually works...."

The bell rang. It was dismissal time. I totally forgot about the report. Damn it!

I stood up and dusted off my skirt.

"Well, I'll leave you to it. It's all up to you now," I said and smiled. As I was walking out, Calix suddenly spoke.

"Thank you, Jay..." I smiled at him again and quickly left.

I went back to the room, and the usual troublemakers immediately surrounded me.

"Jay! What happened?!" Ci-N asked.

"Why did Calix leave?" Eren asked.

"Are they going to meet Mica?" Kit added.

I grumaced at them.

"I'm just one person, guys!"

"They're going to talk, dso let's just leave them be.''

I grabbed my bag and started fixing my things. I was heading home; I'll catch up with them tomorrow to hear what happened.

" You guys should go home..." I told the troublemakers.

But of course, these idiots didn't move. They probably weren't planning on going home.

"Are you guys going home or should I kick you out?!"

"Soon, Jay...." Ci-N replied.

"You don't want to?!" I challenged them.

They just shook their heads.

"Okay.... No chocolate for you guys tomorrow."

As soon as I said that, the idiots rushed to the door.

"That's more like it...." I whispered to myself.

Yuri and Keifer were the last to leave. They both paused and looked at me for a moment.

If they weren't twins, they would definitely be closely connected.

Right!

I walked out, and the usual troublemakers started teasing and fooling around as we walked.

"Jay..... You're going to give me the first chocolate, right?" Ci-N whispered.

"Don't you have money to buy your own chocolate?"

"We do... but it's better when it's given to us or it's free," Ci-N smiling widely.

I had nothing to say to that.

Unbelievable!

We had passed the main building when we bumped into Aries' group.

The tension was immediate. Both sides exchanged sharp glares. Mykel was glaring at me with a look full of animosity.

Of course, I wasn't going to back down. But then, I forgot that I was walking. I ended up bumping into something....

or someone!

It wasn't a wall, though. It was the back of whoever was in front of me.

Calix had stopped, and I realized it in time.

But he didn't even acknowledge the collision. He was too busy whispering something to Felix. I didn't hear everything, but I caught part of it.

"Go back to Calix. He's in danger with Mykel."
