New School, New Friend
In a small city of West Bengal—Kolkata—there was a school where a new student named Ayan got admitted to the ninth grade. On his very first day, he was quiet and nervous. He didn't have the courage to talk to anyone.
During the tiffin break, a boy came up to him and said,
— "Are you new here? I'm Rahul. Come, let's sit together."
Ayan was surprised but smiled and agreed. From that day on, their story of friendship began.
The Bond of Trust
Within a few days, Ayan and Rahul became very close friends. They studied together, played together, and even helped each other with homework.
One day, Ayan's father suddenly fell ill. The family's situation became difficult, and Ayan couldn't concentrate on school.
Understanding everything, Rahul said,
— "A friend is not only someone who stays beside you in happiness, but also in sorrow."
He gave Ayan the money he had saved from his tiffin expenses. With tears in his eyes, Ayan said,
— "You are not just my friend, you are my brother."
The Misunderstanding
One day, an expensive watch went missing in class. Since Ayan was the new student, many classmates started suspecting him.
Rahul stood up in front of everyone and said,
— "I trust my friend. He cannot do this."
Later, it was discovered that another student had accidentally kept the watch in his own bag. Ayan was proven innocent.
That day, Ayan realized that a true friend is someone who stands by you in front of the whole world.
Friendship for Life
Time passed. School life ended. Both of them went to college, but in different cities.
Even then, distance could not weaken their friendship. Through phone calls, letters, and occasional meetings, their bond remained strong.
Years later, Ayan became a successful doctor, and Rahul became a respected teacher. Though they were established in life, they never forgot each other.
One day, when they met, Rahul laughed and said,
— "Friendship never grows old."
Ayan replied,
— "True friendship is the greatest treasure in life."
