Damien woke up from his sleep, yawning. As he tried to get up, his body suddenly fell off the sofa along with a flat object that fell out of his jacket pocket.
Damien picked up the object and looked at it closely. Damien's memory shifted to the events of last night. Where he was drunk and hit a man. The object must have been his, which he had picked up.
But seeing the object, Damien immediately realized that it was not unfamiliar to him.
"Ancient Jade Slip, what is the function of this object in the human world? How did that man get it? Could it be...." Damien then sat cross-legged on the sofa and closed his eyes, trying to gather his strength. He focused his mind on opening his Meridians, allowing the very thin Mana around him to enter his body so he could cultivate.
Damien's blue eyes instantly turned bright purple. He felt his strength increase from the Ancient Jade Slip. This way, Damien could cultivate even though he had to start from scratch.
There were spells in front of Damien on how to operate the jade slip. Apparently, the jade slip functioned as a summoner of Spirit Beasts from the world of cultivators to the human world. However, the spirit beast that would come out depended on the type of spirit beast enclosed in the ancient jade slip.
In the realm of consciousness, Damien felt a great energy that made his body ache. The Spirit Beast instantly appeared and roared in front of him.
Damien remained calm and showed his authority. The tiger bowed its head as soon as Damien held its face.
The tiger then jumped and merged into Damien. Damien immediately coughed up blood as his body, which was in the early stages of cultivation, had to forcefully lock the spirit beast inside.
The tiger immediately came out of Damien's body again and roared. The tiger refused to submit to someone with a low level of cultivation. Damien then cultivated to increase his strength for 6 hours. Damien coughed up blood again.
After his body reached the foundation stage, Damien then unleashed his technique and bound the Tiger within himself, causing the Tiger to bow its head. Damien also discovered that his God Wolf was inside his body. However, there was one thing missing from the Spirit Beast. Damien couldn't be sure whether the Ancient Spirit Beast was still inside him or had vanished along with the destruction of the God's body he possessed.
Damien's hand gripped the Ancient Jade Slip tightly, until it shattered and scattered on the floor. He then headed out of the house and rode his motorcycle to the highway. ....
Jim's gaze fell on the surroundings, where several people were beginning to move away from the area. They were afraid of Jim Carrey, because he was a man with great power. Moreover, the ramen shop owner immediately closed his shop. Jim then said, "Anyone who tries to stop our fight will die by my hand," Jim said passionately while clenching his fist.
Damien laughed and covered part of his face with his left hand. His face then hardened. "I'm the one who will finish you off," Damien hissed.
One of Jim Carrey's friends then spat in front of Damien. He looked at Damien with a mocking expression.
"Do you want your jade slip?" Damien then threw the jade slip he had taken from his jacket pocket.
The man immediately caught the jade slip. He looked at the object and Damien alternately with a questioning look on his face.
"Hey, what is that thing? Are you an antique collector?" asked one of Jim's friends.
The man glared sharply at Damien. And destroyed the jade slip. "You think I believe you? This jade slip is fake!!"
"Enough talk, just attack him!!" They all then advanced to attack Damien. Damien prepared himself. He fought three people at once, easily dodging the attacks coming at him from all directions.
One of them aimed for Damien's stomach, but Damien managed to block it with his hand. He then jumped and twisted one of their necks with his foot, then kicked the other one in the head.
Damien continued to dodge, behind Jim Carrey and the man who was watching Damien being attacked. One by one, Damien was able to knock them down. He then retreated when one of them approached him with a broken glass bottle. Damien was pushed forward after one of them kicked him, and Damien didn't have time to dodge, so a shard cut his arm. This made Damien scream in anger. Damien's eyes turn bright purple, and with quick movements and steady footing, Damien incapacitates them. Damien has hidden his cultivation base.
Jim Carrey, who sees this, is angry. He then steps forward and attacks Damien. Damien flashes his signature mocking smile. One of his hands reaches out as if challenging Jim Carrey to unleash all his power. Damien quickly dodged Jim's attack as he aimed for his stomach with a knife.
"You're no match for me. Give up," Damien sneered.
"Damn it, save your trash talk and face me if you dare!!!!" Jim attacked blindly with his knife. Damien continued to dodge him, evading and retreating with ease.
A crooked smile appeared on Damien's handsome face. The next second, Damien's face hardened. "You don't qualify!!" Damien blocked Jim's hand, then stepped back. When Jim showed his slow movements, Damien easily aimed his steel-hard fist at Jim Carrey's chin. Not stopping there, Damien kicked Jim Carrey's head until the man finally fell and lost consciousness.
Yuki, who saw the fight, was stunned. She then cheered happily for Damien. The next second, Yuki's gaze turned to the hooded man.
"What are you waiting for? Go. Before Mr. Damien finishes you off." Yuki folded her arms across her chest.
The man who heard Yuki's words snorted coldly. He then stepped forward in front of Damien. There was a flash of lightning in both of their eyes, showing that they were not from the human world. The atmosphere around them instantly changed.
"What is your name?" asked Damien.
"My name is Han Li. You... don't seem to be an ordinary human either," said Han Li.
"Yes, I am not an ordinary human. And let me guess, you came to the human world through the Jade slip, right? Too bad, now you can't go back."
Han clenched his fists. "Don't make me angry, face me now!!" Han Li growled and advanced. He had the stance of a tiger. He deftly aimed his punch. But the punch was coated with Cultivation power that made his hands as hard as Damien's armor.
Damien retreated and dodged. He kept Han Li's attacks from hitting him. The man's attacks were very fast and accurate in Damien's eyes. Perhaps in the world of Cultivators, Han Li's strength was at the upper intermediate level.
When flashes of red lightning began to creep towards Damien, the man immediately jumped and stood on a tree trunk.
"Not bad... Not bad..." said Damien, nodding his head. "But that's not enough to even make my skin feel the wind from your reckless movements," Damien sneered, causing Han Li's face to immediately redden.
Yuki, who saw the giant fireball in Han Li's hand, couldn't help but be shocked. She then suddenly fainted.
"Is that all you've got?" Damien asked with a mocking smile on his face. He stared at the giant fireball in Han Li's hand, ready to throw it at him. If Damien dared to unleash his power, they would surely be caught. However, Han Li was too reckless and had poor emotional control.
Just as Han Li was about to throw the giant fireball in his hand at Damien, he suddenly heard the sound of police sirens. The man's body froze instantly. Then, in a flash, Han Li disappeared from the fight in anger.
Behind the bushes, an old man was calling someone on his cell phone. Two men in police uniforms then arrived at the scene in their respective cars. Damien, who was carrying Yuki in front of him, saw the group of men approaching him.
"Yo, bro! So you beat them all? Unfortunately, you still have to undergo questioning," said one of the policemen.
Damien and Jim Carrey were then taken into the police car, after Yuki was taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, Jim Carrey's friends were also taken into another car.
