Chapter 93 - The Wolf Against the Hero

The bell rang, and the Arena fell silent.

The two finalists — the Hero and the strongest Wolf Knight — prepared for battle.

The referee raised his arm.

"The final duel… begins!"

The battle erupts

Andrea didn't wait a single heartbeat.

"Feral Mode!"

The air around her trembled, the wind whipped up, and in the next instant she was gone — nothing but a blurred shadow rushing toward Eris.

The Hero reacted instantly.

Their swords collided with a crack that echoed through the Arena like a lightning strike.

The spectators stared, mouths hanging open.

Some even let their beer spill down their chins — they didn't dare blink.

Their movements were no longer human.

Their strikes were so fast that most of the audience saw only flashes of light.

This wasn't sword‑dance anymore.

This was the clash of two overwhelming forces.

Before the finals, everyone had considered Eris Scarlett the clear favorite — but now it seemed Andrea Wolf was her equal.

Or perhaps… even more.

Attack.

Defense.

Counterattack.

Another strike.

Another parry.

Both fought cleanly.

No dirty tricks, no cheap shots — only their swords, their skill, and their strength.

The crowd went wild.

Ten minutes passed, and neither of them slowed.

The two warrior maidens fought tirelessly for victory.

Then… they stopped for a moment.

Both exhaled sharply.

The air around them vibrated with power.

Eris slowly straightened and met Andrea's gaze.

"I've never enjoyed a fight as much as this one. I'm using my full strength, and you're still keeping up. I can't defeat you without the Goddess's power."

Her voice grew heavier.

"I'm almost ashamed… but I have no choice. I'll use the power the Goddess gave me to defeat the demons."

"Hero Aura!!!"

Light erupted around her.

The ground trembled.

The air ignited with heat.

The crowd gasped as one.

But Andrea… began to laugh.

"Hahaha! Hahaha! Hahaha!"

Eris stared at her in confusion.

"Why are you laughing like that? Are you mocking me for relying on the true power of Light?"

Andrea shook her head.

"I'm not laughing because you're using your full power. I'm laughing because you think… I've been fighting you at full strength."

Eris's eyes widened.

"What do you mean? You still have another strong technique?"

Andrea stepped forward.

Her eyes darkened, and the air tightened around her.

"Feral Mode was created by Young Wolf to defeat a Magical Beast."

"Anita told me that already," Eris replied. "I know."

Andrea continued:

"But what you don't know is that Anita is a blacksmith's daughter — born with little mana. Her limit is a Magical Beast."

Her voice dropped, deeper and colder.

"I am the daughter of the Wolf Knight family. My mana is far greater."

Eris stumbled back a step.

"What?!"

Andrea raised her sword.

"Let me show you, Hero beetle…

the technique Young Wolf created to defeat a Demon General!"

The air exploded around her.

"Berserker Mode!!!"

The crowd screamed and leapt to their feet.

Everyone in the royal box stood up.

The referee didn't even dare breathe.

The final battle had truly begun.

The two warrior maidens fought with everything they had.

Eris Scarlett's Hero Aura burst from her like blinding light, doubling her strength, speed, and reflexes.

Andrea Wolf's Berserker Mode answered with equal force — the wind howled around her, and the ground trembled beneath her steps.

They had already been evenly matched.

Now both had unleashed their strongest techniques.

The spectators couldn't look away.

Most couldn't even follow their movements — only flashes of light, streaks of flame, and spiraling winds filled their vision.

The aura of Berserker Mode was so terrifying that several people in the stands fainted.

Others… reacted far less heroically.

The royal box

The Princess had gone pale.

"Oh no… I think I might have peed a little from that terrifying roar.

Good thing everyone's watching the fight — no one noticed.

As soon as this is over, I need to change clothes."

Captain John Scarlett stared in shock.

"This is incredible. So this is what the strongest warriors' battle looks like? This is a completely different level. A duel of Heroes."

The King gripped the armrest nervously.

"Who will win? Which one is stronger?"

John shook his head.

"I can't tell."

The battlefield in flames

Fire and wind clashed, sending blazing arcs across the arena.

Every strike sparked.

Every parry scattered embers.

The stones beneath their feet began to crack under the pressure.

In the royal box, the Wolfwoods and the others watched in stunned silence.

"What energetic girls," Andras remarked. "Good thing this isn't a fight to the death."

Christina shook her head.

"It doesn't look like they're holding back at all."

Noelle watched the battlefield anxiously.

"The arena won't survive this much longer."

Anita crossed her arms.

"Since neither of them is making mistakes, the one who runs out of mana first will probably lose."

Ironclaw jumped to her feet.

"The Hero is as strong as Andrea! I want to fight the Hero too!"

Noelle snapped at her instantly.

"You're forbidden from fighting the Hero — we've talked about this a thousand times!"

Anita patted the wolf girl's shoulder.

"Relax, Ironclaw. There will be plenty of strong Demons for you to enjoy.

We need the Hero's Light element for the Demon King."

Christina turned to Andras.

"Who do you think will win, Young Wolf?"

Andras studied the two fighters carefully.

"Hm. They're both about to run out of mana.

Their swords will shatter the moment that happens.

I think it'll be a draw."

Anita's head shot up.

"A draw? In the finals?!"

Christina smiled.

"Interesting… I didn't consider that."

The battle raged on.

Light and wind.

Fire and fury.

Hero and Wolf Knight — two forces so overwhelming they could no longer be distinguished from one another.

The final… had reached its peak.

The arena was already burning with the auras of the two fighters.

The crowd was roaring, everyone in the royal box was on their feet, and the air vibrated with tension.

Both warriors knew:

This would be the final strike.

Eris staggered back a step, gasping for breath.

"I'm about to run out of mana. This will be my last attack!"

Andrea's eyes darkened, her Berserker Mode aura stretching the air to its limit.

"My time is almost up. Now or never!"

The two warriors shouted at the same time:

"Andrea!"

"Eris!"

Then:

"Hero Strike!!!"

"Wolf Dance!!!"

The two ultimate techniques collided.

Light and wind crashed together.

The stones of the arena cracked.

The air exploded.

A single blinding flash.

Then silence.

The light faded.

Both warriors were still standing — but their swords…

fell to the ground in two broken halves.

They had run out of mana at the exact same moment.

The shattered blades clattered against the stone.

Andrea and Eris looked at each other.

Then, as if agreeing without words, they both threw away the remaining sword fragments.

In the next instant, they charged each other with their fists.

The crowd gasped.

Both fighters put every last drop of strength into their final punch.

BOOM!

Their fists struck at the same time.

Eris and Andrea collapsed together.

Both lost consciousness instantly.

The referee stared at the two motionless bodies in shock.

The crowd held its breath.

Then:

"The final duel is over!"

"A draw!"

"Hero Eris Scarlett and Wolf Knight Andrea Wolf have fought the finals to a draw!"

The Arena erupted in cheers.

People screamed, clapped, cried, laughed.

Everyone was satisfied — for they had never seen a battle like this before.

Both warriors had deserved victory.
