Keifer's POV
Leaving Class 3-E alone for even five minutes was a mistake.
A massive mistake.
And somehow…
I already knew that before festival preparations even started.
"Alright everyone," the teacher said while fixing her glasses tiredly, "festival preparation begins after classes end today."
The class cheered loudly.
Which honestly sounded more threatening than exciting.
The teacher pointed directly at me.
"Keifer."
I already felt danger approaching.
"You're supervising."
Then she pointed at Jay.
"And Jay is helping."
Jay immediately frowned. "Why me?"
The teacher stared at her blankly. "Because they fear you."
Felix nodded immediately. "Respectfully."
Jay threw an eraser at him.
He dodged dramatically. "SHE'S ABUSIVE."
The teacher sighed deeply. "Just survive until evening."
Then she left.
Silence.
A dangerous silence.
Ci-N slowly stood up.
"We should make a street racing theme."
The entire class turned toward Jay.
Jay slowly cracked her knuckles.
Ci-N sat back down immediately. "…I suddenly love peaceful festivals."
Felix jumped onto a desk dramatically.
"GUYS."
"No," Yuri answered instantly.
"We should do a mafia casino."
"That sounds illegal," Rory said.
"That's because you lack vision."
Endrix raised his hand calmly. "I propose a haunted laboratory."
Calix looked horrified. "That sounds radioactive."
David finally spoke from the back. "Why don't we choose something simple?"
The entire class stared at him.
Then ignored him completely.
Absolute idiots.
Meanwhile Jay had already walked to the board and started writing ideas down.
Unfortunately…
her handwriting looked like ancient curses.
Felix squinted. "Does that say café or explosion?"
"Yes," Jay answered calmly.
Rory looked traumatized. "That didn't help."
I sighed and walked toward the board.
"You're spelling decorations wrong."
Jay looked offended. "I spelled it beautifully."
"You added three unnecessary letters."
"It gives personality."
Ci-N pointed dramatically. "Tension."
"Shut up," both of us said immediately.
The class exploded.
Felix slammed the desk emotionally. "THEY EVEN TALK TOGETHER NOW."
Yuri looked exhausted already. "I need a transfer."
For the next thirty minutes…
absolutely nothing productive happened.
Felix somehow got tape stuck in his hair.
Ci-N broke part of the cardboard stand.
Endrix nearly electrocuted himself trying to test lights.
Rory accidentally glued two papers to Calix's sleeve.
David silently fixed everything without complaints like a tired father of eight children.
And Jay?
Jay was somehow enjoying the chaos.
Actually enjoying it.
I noticed because she kept laughing.
Not loudly.
But small real laughs.
Especially whenever Felix screamed dramatically.
At one point Ci-n got trapped inside fabric curtains and shouted: "I CAN'T SEE THE FUTURE."
Jay literally sat on a desk laughing.
And honestly?
Seeing her laugh that freely again felt… nice.
Then disaster happened.
Jay climbed onto a desk holding decorations.
I immediately looked up.
"You're going to fall."
She scoffed. "I literally race motorcycles."
Ci-N pointed upward dramatically. "Famous last words."
Jay rolled her eyes while reaching higher.
Then the desk moved slightly.
Everything happened fast.
Jay slipped.
Felix screamed immediately. "OH MY GOD."
Before she could hit the floor—
I caught her automatically.
One arm around her waist.
The other holding the desk steady.
Silence.
Complete silence.
The entire class froze.
Jay blinked slowly.
Still half leaning against me.
Then Felix collapsed onto the floor dramatically.
"LOVE."
Eman pointed like a sports commentator. "HE CAUGHT HER."
Rory covered his mouth. "Cinema."
Endrix whispered emotionally. "The tension development is incredible."
Jay immediately pushed herself away from me.
"I had it under control."
"You were literally falling."
"I was testing gravity."
Felix pointed dramatically again. "THEY'RE FLIRTING."
Jay grabbed a roll of tape.
Felix started running immediately. "SHE CHOSE VIOLENCE."
Chaos resumed instantly.
Ci-N chased Felix around the classroom with streamers.
Rory somehow got stuck inside decorations.
Endrix was arguing with electrical wires.
Yuri looked one inconvenience away from disappearing forever.
Meanwhile I stood beside the desk watching Jay fix decorations again.
Then quietly asked:
"…Why didn't you tell us about MJ?"
Jay paused slightly.
Only for a second.
Then continued taping decorations casually.
"Because you people can't keep secrets."
"That's fair," I admitted.
Ci-N immediately yelled from across the room: "WHAT ARE YOU TWO TALKING ABOUT?"
Jay threw tape at his face.
And somehow…
Class 3-E still didn't finish decorating by sunset.
