For some reason, hearing that made him feel strangely warm inside.
"The nobles have also sent gifts," Orion added. "The storage halls are already overflowing."
"You should check the gifts later," Orion said with a small sigh. "The royal ball will take place tomorrow. It can no longer be delayed."
Finn nodded absentmindedly.
Orion glanced back over Finn's shoulder and saw Mrs. Smith standing with her head lowered, panting heavily. Mia and Lia, along with several other servants, weren't doing much better. Their chests rose and fell rapidly as they struggled to catch their breath after chasing Finn all over the place.
The sight made Orion let out a light chuckle.
"What are you laughing at?" Finn asked, confusion written all over his face. He frowned slightly before adding, "Can you please send them away?"
"Can you get down first?" Orion asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper. "All eyes are on us."
