Riya had been feeling something strange lately. Aryan, who used to talk to her every day, had suddenly started keeping his distance. At first, she thought he might just be busy with his studies, but days passed and the silence only grew heavier.
One afternoon, Riya sat alone in the college garden, holding the book Aryan had once recommended to her. The pages were open, but her mind was somewhere else. She kept thinking about the last conversation they had.
"Did I do something wrong?" she whispered to herself.
Just then, her friend Neha walked toward her. "Riya, you look worried. What happened?"
Riya hesitated for a moment before answering. "It's Aryan. He has been acting different lately. He barely talks to me now."
Neha frowned. "That's strange. Maybe something happened in his life. Did you try asking him?"
Riya shook her head. "I tried, but he avoids the topic."
At that moment, Riya saw Aryan walking across the campus. For a second, their eyes met. But instead of coming over, Aryan quickly turned away and walked in the opposite direction.
Riya felt a small pain in her heart.
That evening, Riya couldn't stop thinking about him. The memories of their laughter, their long talks in the library, and the rainy day when they first met kept coming back.
Suddenly, her phone buzzed.
It was a message from Aryan.
Her heart started beating faster as she opened it.
The message read:
"Riya… we need to talk tomorrow. There is something important I have to tell you."
Riya stared at the message for a long time.
She didn't know whether to feel happy, nervous, or scared.
But one thing was certain.
Tomorrow was going to change everything.
