Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Devastation

The land split apart and formed a massive fissure. The sound destroyed Sunny's eardrums from inside the shell. All the bones in his incarnation also shattered into pieces. The pain was intense, and for just a moment, Sunny felt like he had made a mistake.

In that moment, a crack appeared at the end of the sword strike and went all the way to the shores of the Antarctic Center. Dozens of unsuspecting Nightmare creatures fell into the crevices of the blow. Only when it passed the shore and went into the deep water did it slow down and come to a halt.

Sunny was past grimacing. He nearly fainted from all the pain the one incarnation went through. To think that the attack would've reverberated all the way to his body inside.

He felt nearly all his organs had become damaged or even outright destroyed.

The frost and cold were already subsiding. The cold didn't even penetrate halfway through Sunny's shell when his sword bit into the Winter Beast. That was how large he became.

He sliced the Winter Beast into two and felt some shadow fragments trickle into his soul. It was already happening with the rate Saint and others were hunting. Sunny quickly switched avatars.

Then he dismissed his summoning of the mimic and resummoned him. So that he could appear near Sunny.

There was an incredible amount of soul shards already inside. It looked like Saint and others were getting busy. It took a bit for him to get the soul shards from the winter beast but when he did, he stored them inside Mimic.

Sunny felt his shadow essence reserves. If he had to estimate, it was around 10 percent. A single attack had done that.

"Not bad at all." But the quietness of the handy bracelet was still felt, for a moment, he even believed that the creature survived until he received the shadow fragments.

The damage had been impressive, but it wasn't like he split the entire Antarctic Center in half, it was impressive how deep the strike went.

Sunny didn't doubt that in maybe half an hour, this place would be filled with water. It did hit the body of water, so eventually the water would rush here and fill all the gaps it could. Mistakenly, Sunny had made a canal.

Sunny decided to stay here for a while longer. He wanted to create a memory before he left. Although his essence reserves were low, he wouldn't be creating a powerful memory, and even then, the rate at which he gained shadow essence would still be higher.

Sunny sat down and pulled a creature's corpse made of stone out, and then some of the transcendent shards.

He was thinking about making a Transcendent memory of the third tier. So he sat down and fell into the trance of weaving.

This would be a different type of memory he would typically weave, so it offered some challenge. Oftentimes, he didn't need to create powerful memories because there weren't many creatures around that could survive Sunny.

Unless you were some Great Titan, Great Terror, or Cursed Abomination. Sunny could not kill it with ease all the time, but it would happen one way or another.

After Sunny finished creating the memory, he got up, stretching, and he heard the rushing water. The crevice was starting to fill up now with large amounts of water, and before long, aquatic Nightmare creatures would start hunting unsuspecting creatures in the area.

"One more destination left."

Sunny took off.

Deep into the Antarctic Center, Sunny finally reached his final destination. LO49. It was still there. Sometime between now and the time he had reached past the burned forest, it would get absorbed into the Dream Realm.

Sunny summoned the memory he had created. It was a glassy box with four legs coming down to hold it upright. Four huge eyelids were on each side of the box. He summoned the runes for the memory.

Memory: [Watchful Eye]

Memory rank: Transcendent

Memory Tier: III

Memory Type: Tool

Sunny was impressed with this memory. It challenged him in more ways than one. Its practical uses were nice. It clashed with modern technology and ancient sorcery. He then read the enchantment's description.

Enchantment: [Seen]

Enchantment Description: [To witness and watch all that surrounds it]

Going down, he read the other enchantments.

Enchantment: [Stored]

Enchantment Description: [Store large amounts of memories and visuals.]

Finally, Sunny looked at the final enchantment.

Enchantment: [Energy Reservoir]

Enchantment Description: [Continuously gathers and stores essence.]

Sunny had a smug look under the Weaver Mask. This memory wouldn't tax any of his essence reserves as well.

Sunny was really curious about how the Dream Realm took parts of their world and added them to its own. Although he wanted to know what would happen, he couldn't stay until LO49 disappeared.

At this point, Sunny wanted to create his handy bracelet as well as one more memory not for himself, so he did. Summoning mimic and fishing out a few shards, he got to work. He wanted to get an exact amount of his shadow fragments counter.

One-week later, Sunny found himself back in East Antarctica. The evacuation was going smoothly now that Anvil was here, disseminating Nightmare creatures.

Sunny summoned his runes and looked at the shadow fragment counter [832/6000]. It was a decent amount. There was only one Great Nightmare creature he managed to find, and even then, it was merely a beast that Sunny received a pitifully increased counter by four.

However, he was here for another reason. The chain of nightmares followed the scent of humans. The scent of desire. Wherever people often were, that was where the most gates opened up.

East Antarctica was getting a barrage of gates. Sunny thought of his friends. Currently, in the world, there were a little over 30 saints. With his friends included. The Song Domain had 12, while Anvil had 12. They had become even in number since Dire Fang died.

The emergence of seven new saints, it would change the dynamic of the world for a short time. They didn't know Sunny existed, so it would only be six for now.

The world would be shocked and in awe. New records would be smashed. Changing Star cohort managed to conquer their 3 rd Nightmare within a few days. Everyone, including the fire keepers were at Black Skull battle to witness them a few days prior.

Three of them would join the government. This included Kai, Effie, and Jet. Although Jet was already in the government to begin with no doubt that Anvil and Ki Song would try to recruit her again. Or probably all of them.

Sunny snapped out of reverie for a moment. What he was thinking is that currently in East Antarctica, a good portion of nearly all the saints that currently existed were here in these cold lands.

Sunny could use that to his advantage.
