Chapter 4 THE SELECTION 2
The Guild hall was built in the middle of the town. Next to the Town Hall, it was the biggest building to be gazed from afar. Alot of time and effort was spent in the construction of the Guild hall as it was the main base of operations for guards and adventurers who protect the village from beast tide and others. Though the village was a small one with a tier three category, it was still under the banner of Avalon, so it receives lower ranking knight each year for protection.
There are four categorized towns as follows; Tier 4 are small villages with no protection from any kingdoms, just the village and it's people. Tier 3 villages are large with proper structures and receives protection from different kingdoms under it. Tier 2 towns are known for having merchants and adventurers, but still residential. There are not too distant from it's sponsored Kingdom.Tier 1 are known as the big cities.

The Guild hall was packed with people and adventurers who where eager to watch the selection process. Hilltown was known for its lack of talent in cultivating Beast Masters, very few families have the talent for it, but this year was different, cause five kids were participating today. In Hilltown, it was the best number in a long time.
Standing in the middle of the hall, five kids were the center of attention, well not really them, the three Knights from Avalon stood with control aura, analyzing the kids before them. Barron was not feeling impressed one bit.
Stepping out, his frown deepened.
"Alright brats!" He began " I don't have time to waist on you, so walk away if you're useless" He growled with threatening gazes at the participants.
They were four boys and one girl who received the oppressing gaze from Barron, Billy stood amongst them with a frown.
"Who's he calling useless?" He held himself from lashing out at the knight before him.
"Relax bro" The second boy standing near him whispered, he was more relaxed than usual. "You don't wanna get disqualified before showing what you got, right?" Bryon asked.
"Whatever " Billy rolled his eyes.
Bryon and Billy shared a resemblance, they where obviously brothers, but Bryon was a year older.
"I'm scared as hell" the third boy whispered. He was the tallest amongst them. Lan was more of the charismatic and easy going one, but keeping his composure was difficult under the oppressing gaze of the big man before him.
"What happened to your easy going nature, your sweating buckets" Bryon joked
"This is no time for joke dude " Lan's chest heaved "that man is scary"
At that moment, Barron took slow stride towards them.
"I'm looking for potentials, warriors, not kids!" Eyeing each of them, he grinned.
Black aura suddenly burst from his being, it was oppressive and deadly, rising above his head and a dark gorilla formed out of it.
The gorilla pounded it's chest loudly and leat out an ear bursting roar.
ROAR!!!
The wind shifted as everyone covered their ears on fright. It wasn't everyday the see the spirit beast of an higher ranking knight. Their excitement disappeared instantly and replaced with horror.
"That's enough Barron, I think you've scared them enough" Wilfred chuckled
Barron dismissed his beast and faced the kids, the frown never left his face.
"I dare you to show me what you can do, brats" he spat
The kids where stunned, only few hid their scare well.
Billy quickly shook his fear away and stepped forward.
"I'll go first"
Blue spirit energy surged around him and a bear from, towering above him. The bear stood on two legs and let out a roar.
Billy smirked with arms folded.
Barron showed no signs of impression.
"Next!" He ordered.
Billy dismissed his beast and walked back.
Bryon stepped forward with hands in his pocket.
Raising his right leg, he stomped on the floor, and the air became cold. White particles of ice began to spread from his foot, covering the area around them. His energy surged and a white bear fromed above him revealing it's deadly fangs. It growled.
Wifred eyes widen with a larger smile
"An elemental" he chuckled We hit a jack pot today didn't we Barron?"
Barron scoffed "next!!"
Lan stepped forward
"You guys already gave me a little bit of confidence"
Green aura surged from his being and massive elephant appeared with the echoing sound of it's trumpet.
The elephant suddenly spiked, fury visible in it's eyes which suddenly locked on Barron. It huffed then charged towards him with ground shaking steps.
"Oh no, not again!" Lan exclaimed, his beast had left his control, again.
Barron growled.
His energy surged from his body and he suddenly grabbed both tucks of the elephant. The power tussle was short, Barron smashed the elephant s head into the ground, breaking the wax floor in the process. The elephant dissipated into sparks, back into Lan.
"Oh crap"
Lan cursed.
Barron was already upon him before he could breathe.
