After a tiring day of training, Dray, Nathan and Griffin were relaxing in front of the fireplace, each reading a book when a bright beam of light at the gravesite grabbed their attention.
Bolting out of their seats, they started running towards the graves. Impatient, Nathan shifted, using his superior speed to leave Griffin and Dray behind. As he entered the clearing, he could see a figure kneeling by the top tier's graves. Leaping forward, he pinned the intruder to the ground, growling and baring his teeth at the stranger.
What Nathan saw though, surprised him. The shirtless man beneath him had a similar marking on his shoulder that was on Dray's hand. Still growling low in his throat, Nathan held the man down while waiting for Griffin and Dray.
Underneath him, the man started mumbling, "Okay, Felix, relax. Yes, there's a giant wolf on you, but he hasn't done anything. Calm thoughts. Calm thoughts. Calm thoughts."
Nathan studied the man that he thought was acting crazy. Just then, he could hear Griffin and Dray getting closer.
"Nate!" They called at the same time.
Nathan growled louder, drawing their attention.
As they got closer, Dray's jaw dropped in shock. "Felix?" He asked quietly.
"Draven?" Felix whimpered.
Shaking his head, Dray gathered himself. "Nate, let him up."
Nathan turned his attention back to the man he was holding down. He snapped his jaw at him, almost playfully, before stepping back and off the man.
As Felix warily sat up, he kept his eyes on the wolf that was making its way over to the other large man with Dray.
"Felix?" Dray said, grabbing the man's attention. "What are you doing here?"
Straightening his clothes, Felix accepted Dray's outstretched hand, hauling himself to his feet. "Honestly, your father sent me to find you."
Felix was interrupted when the wolf growled again. Felix looked over to see the large man kneeling down next to it.
"It's alright, Nate," he said soothingly as he stroked the wolf's ears. Looking up, Griffin introduced himself. "I'm Griffin. This is Nathan," he said, indicating the wolf. "Why don't we all head back to the house where we can sit down and talk more comfortably.
Dray nodded wordlessly, reaching down to grab Felix's dropped bags. "Good idea. Let's go, Felix."
Felix continued to warily eye the wolf that was watching him. "And the wolf?"
Griffin chuckled. "He won't hurt you. Unless you do something to warrant it," he added on.
Felix laughed weakly as Dray gripped his shoulder, forcing him to move. He turned his head, still keeping an eye on the wolf to see it walk over to the gravemarker and straighten out the flower wreath he'd accidentally messed up.
