By the time the room was clean, the sun had already started setting.
Autumn gathered her things.
"Finally."
She walked to the door and pushed it.
Nothing happened.
She tried again.
Still nothing.
"Uh…"
Luca looked up.
"What?"
"The door's locked."
He stood and tried the handle.
The door didn't budge.
Autumn stared at him.
"You're kidding."
"Nope."
"The teacher left."
"Apparently."
She laughed in disbelief.
"So we're trapped."
Luca looked surprisingly calm.
"Could be worse."
"How?"
He looked at her.
And smiled slowly.
"I'm trapped with you."
Autumn rolled her eyes.
But her stomach flipped.
