Chapter 15 - Chapter 15

After the strange dream, Heidi couldn't focus on anything.

Her mind felt restless, and she spent almost the entire day sitting in the library, as if she were searching for something… trying to find some kind of answer.

As she read different books, she kept thinking about what she had once read in a mythology book.

This world isn't exactly the same as the one described in that book, she thought.

It confused her a little.

But she tried not to think too much about it.

Books are often half true and half imagination, she told herself.

While thinking about all this, she closed the book in frustration.

"I've been reading books the whole day," she said angrily, "but I still haven't found anything!"

She slammed the book shut.

"What else can I even do now?"

Annoyed, she stood up from the chair and started walking around the library, looking through more shelves and searching for other books.

Scene Shift

The scene slowly shifted to a modern city library.

Arwa was walking between the bookshelves, looking around casually.

Suddenly, a book slipped from a shelf and fell onto the floor.

Arwa noticed it and bent down to pick it up.

She looked at the cover for a moment, then carried it to a nearby table and started reading a few pages.

It was a mythology book.

The same kind of book that the real Arwa had been reading at the beginning.

But as she flipped through the pages, something strange caught her attention.

The book contained detailed information about Duke Hohenzollern and the House of Hohenzollern.

Arwa's eyes widened in shock.

She stared at the title again.

"Hohenzollern…?" she whispered.

"That's my family name."

She looked at the book again, completely confused.

"What is my family name doing in a mythology book?"

Now filled with curiosity, Arwa quickly sat down and began reading the book carefully.

Arwa slowly turned the next page.

At first, it looked like a normal historical description. But as she continued reading, her expression slowly began to change.

The book described the House of Hohenzollern, an ancient noble family known for its great power and influence. It talked about their grand castles, their political alliances, and the many dukes who had ruled the family over the years.

But then Arwa noticed something strange.

One paragraph was written differently, almost as if it were a hidden note.

She leaned closer and read it carefully.

"According to an old legend, the bloodline of the House of Hohenzollern is connected to a mysterious event that occurs once every generation."

Arwa frowned slightly.

"What kind of event…?" she murmured.

She kept reading.

"It is believed that when the balance of fate is disturbed, two souls may exchange their destinies."

Arwa suddenly froze.

Her heart began to beat faster.

Two souls… exchanging their destinies?

She quickly turned the page.

The next lines shocked her even more.

"In rare cases, the souls may awaken in different timelines or bodies, forced to live each other's lives until the truth behind the exchange is revealed."

Arwa slowly leaned back in her chair.

"No way…" she whispered.

Her mind immediately returned to the strange dream she had seen.

The voices.

The mysterious girl who looked exactly like her.

Her hands trembled slightly as she looked at the book again.

"Does that mean…" she whispered quietly,

"someone else could be living my life?"

For a moment, the entire library felt strangely silent.

But Arwa quickly shook her head.

"No… this is ridiculous."

"It's just a legend."

Even though she said that, she couldn't stop reading.

Because deep inside her heart, a small fear had already started growing.

What if it isn't just a story?

She continued reading the next chapter.

And what she read next surprised her even more.

The chapter described another secret about the House of Hohenzollern.

According to the book, the Duke's family had secretly practiced black magic for generations. Their power and influence were believed to come from ancient dark rituals known only to members of the family.

However, the book mentioned one unusual exception.

The Duke's only daughter.

Unlike the rest of her family, she refused to practice black magic.

The book explained that she actually had extraordinary potential to use it. Her magical ability was said to be even stronger than many members of the family.

But she never used it.

Not because she couldn't.

Because she didn't want to.

She believed that black magic only brought harm and suffering to people, and she hated the idea of using such power to hurt others.

Despite this, the Duke loved his daughter deeply.

She was his only child, and he cared for her more than anything in the world.

Then the book revealed something even more shocking.

The Duke's daughter was engaged to Frederick William, the future king of the kingdom.

Arwa's eyes widened in disbelief.

She quickly reread the paragraph to make sure she had not misunderstood.

Her heart began racing.

"What…?" she whispered.

"This doesn't make any sense."

She leaned back in her chair, completely shocked.

"What do they mean only daughter?"

Her mind immediately filled with questions.

"That's impossible," she said quietly.

"I wasn't an only child."

Her stepmother had a son.

And that boy was supposed to become the next head of the family.

Arwa stared at the book again, confusion and disbelief spreading across her face.

"Then how can this book say that the Duke had only one daughter?"

The more she thought about it, the stranger everything seemed.

Something about this story didn't match the life she remembered.

And that realization made the mystery surrounding her life feel even deeper.

Arwa was still staring at the page, lost in confusion.

Nothing she had read made sense.

Her fingers slowly moved across the old paper, as if she were hoping the answers would suddenly appear.

Just then, she noticed something unusual.

The last page of the chapter looked slightly thicker than the others.

Arwa frowned.

"That's strange…"

Curious, she gently lifted the edge of the page.

To her surprise, there was another thin sheet hidden underneath, almost as if someone had secretly added it later.

Her heart started beating faster.

She carefully unfolded the hidden page and began reading the faded words written on it.

"If the exchange of souls truly occurs, there will be signs."

Arwa leaned closer.

"The two souls will see each other in dreams."

Her breath caught in her throat.

Dreams…

The strange dream she had seen suddenly flashed in her mind.

Her hands trembled slightly as she continued reading.

"One soul will search for the truth."

"The other will try to ignore it."

Arwa froze.

Her eyes slowly widened.

It felt as if the book was describing exactly what was happening to her.

She quickly read the next line.

"But when the truth begins to awaken, both destinies will eventually collide again."

A cold shiver ran down her spine.

"What… does that mean?" she whispered.

Just then, a small drawing caught her attention at the bottom of the page.

It looked like a symbol of two mirrors facing each other, and inside them were two girls who looked almost identical.

Arwa stared at the drawing.

For a moment, it felt as if the girls in the picture were her and the girl from her dream.

The library suddenly felt colder.

Arwa slowly closed the book.

"This… can't just be a coincidence."

But deep inside her heart, a terrifying thought began to form.

What if someone really is living my life… right now?
