On Thursday, Harry got ready for class. Since the weapon classes were going to start on Monday, the school offered an additional class about elemental cores to help non-Aetherbound students understand the concept of magic and its history.
Harry was very interested in this class because he wanted to find answers about his power.
He reached school at 9 a.m. and went straight to the main hall, where he asked a teacher for directions. The teacher guided Harry to the classroom.
The class was big, and around 60 students were already present. Harry found a seat in the last row, third bench. He sat down and immediately took out his notebook. Wasting no time, he wanted to record every detail that would be taught in this class.
Soon, he felt a tap on his right shoulder.
He turned around and saw a boy with white hair. Harry recognized the face but couldn't remember the name.
With a neutral expression, Harry said,
"Can I help you?"
The boy gave a warm smile and replied,
"My name is Ethan Vale, the brother of Adrian Vale."
Harry said,
"Oh, nice to meet you, Ethan."
Harry extended his hand for a handshake, and Ethan shook it.
Ethan continued,
"The duel between you and my brother was one of the best fights I've ever seen. My brother even got some weapon lessons from our elder sister. She guided him to choose the rapier."
Harry replied,
"I almost lost that day. Your brother is very strong. The thing is, Aetherbound are new to their abilities. Maybe that's the reason I won."
Ethan lightly laughed.
"Harry, you're underestimating yourself. You did really well. A lot of students got inspired by you."
At the same moment, the teacher entered the class.
Ethan said,
"Let's talk after class, Harry."
Harry nodded.
The teacher was a woman with red hair and red eyes.
She spoke in a neutral tone.
"Welcome, students, to the first Elemental Core Class. My name is Miss Mina Daper. I will be teaching you about elemental cores."
She took out a marker and started writing on the whiteboard. She explained the four main elemental cores and how they were different from each other.
Then she began talking about the saturation of cores.
Harry carefully wrote everything in his notebook.
After explaining core saturation, she wrote another topic on the board:

She then turned toward the students and said,
"Some Aetherbound possess rare abilities. For example, someone might manipulate water by controlling nearby water sources, while another might absorb the same element to heal themselves or counterattack.
In even rarer cases, special abilities appear.
During the fighting class between Aetherbound and non-Aetherbound, the professor who was specially invited demonstrated a rare ability. He could use fire to trace the heat signatures of living beings and even detect traces left behind.
It is one of the rarest abilities and extremely useful for investigation."
Harry was shocked after hearing this.
The professor never told him anything about his power.
Harry quickly wrote everything down, but his mind drifted into deep thought.
