Chapter 23 - FUTURE PLANS

The food arrived, and they ate in silence. After finishing, Harry started the conversation.

"Professor, I'm sorry. It must have been very hard for you to tell your story. I didn't know it was like that."

The professor laughed lightly and replied, "Don't worry, Harry. I'm fine. Everyone has a painful past—we shouldn't hide from it. Anyway, let's talk about your future plans, your school classes, and how to approach your unique magic." Harry nodded.

The professor continued, "Harry, I didn't tell you this before, but even though I've lost my eyesight, I can still detect living beings through their heat signatures. Even if they're hiding, I can trace them. But when you came to meet me last time, I couldn't detect you at all. I was quite surprised." Hearing this, Harry was confused. "So... I can absorb magic, detect magic, and hide myself from detection?" The professor took a page and wrote everything down. Then he said, "Harry, I checked all the old records to find a case like yours, but I couldn't find any. However, I've come up with a theory. I'm not sure if it's correct, but we can test it." Harry nodded again.

"I think your main ability is energy absorption," the professor continued. "Let's talk about your friendly duel. You were hit by wind energy when the rapier struck your chest, and after that, an anomaly occurred. Then, during the fragment repulsion test, Supervisor Clark transferred some energy into your body, and you absorbed it. That's how you were able to activate the rune on the resonance weapon. Later that night, you were able to sense natural energy in the environment. And when you came to meet me, I couldn't detect you at all." The professor paused for a moment before continuing.

"I think you possess a rare ability, possibly

related to wind. Wind users can control air pressure to slow enemies. Similarly, they can hide themselves from detection by diverting heat in the surrounding air—but that requires extremely precise control. Both of these abilities are rare. And on top of that, you can absorb energy." Harry was dumbfounded. He couldn't believe the professor had figured out so much.

"Professor... this is too much. If all of this is true... how can I keep a low profile?" The professor replied calmly, "Harry, just be yourself. Don't try to fight Aetherbound students unnecessarily. During combat, you might absorb energy and trigger another anomaly. That would attract attention from higher authorities—and we don't want that." Harry nodded.

The professor smiled and added, "Don't

worry, Harry. I'll help you. For now, start your combat classes tomorrow. Good luck."
