Chapter 3 - The Bath and the Contract

I stared at the "glass" of milk—which was more like a bucket in my hands—and then back at Su Qian. She was watching me with an unreadable expression, her chin resting on her hand as she leaned against the marble counter.

"Drink up, Little Yuan. You look like you haven't eaten since the last century," she murmured.

I took a sip, nearly drowning in the creamy liquid. "I'm not little! And I'm a Succubus! We... we don't just live on milk!"

Su Qian raised an eyebrow, a flicker of amusement crossing her face. "A Succubus? Is that what you call those cute little wings and ears? In this world, we just call that 'extremely rare and endangered.' Which is exactly why you aren't leaving this apartment."

She stood up, her 6'7" frame casting a shadow that seemed to stretch forever. She reached out and, before I could protest, she plucked me off the counter. One moment I was sitting, the next I was tucked under her arm again, my legs dangling in the air.

"Hey! Put me down! Where are we going?"

"You smell like a goblin's cave," she said bluntly, walking toward a door that led to a bathroom larger than my entire old dorm room. "You're taking a bath. Now."

The bathroom was a temple of white marble and gold fixtures. The bathtub wasn't a tub—it was a swimming pool. Su Qian set me down on a stool that was so high I had to scramble to stay balanced.

"Wait, you're not... you're not going to stay, right?" I stammered, my face burning. My Succubus tail wrapped itself tightly around my leg in distress.

Su Qian leaned against the doorframe, crossing her arms over her chest. "I need to make sure you don't drown in the bubbles. Besides, someone needs to scrub those wings. They look dusty."

I felt like a toy. A literal, living toy. But as she began to fill the tub, the steam rising and the scent of expensive lavender filling the air, my body began to betray me. My Succubus nature thrived on comfort and attention, and Su Qian was providing both with an overwhelming, dominant force.

"Once you're clean," Su Qian said over the sound of running water, "we're going to sign a document. Since I 'saved' you from the bridge and the police, you'll be staying here as my domestic partner. Or rather... my ward."

"A ward? You mean a prisoner!"

"I mean," she stepped closer, looking down at me with those sharp, intoxicating eyes, "that you will be safe, fed, and cared for. In exchange, you simply have to exist here. For me."

I swallowed hard. The logic was simple: stay with the giantess who smelled like heaven, or go back to the world of hungry goblins and a city that would eat a 150cm boy alive.

My Sanity was dropping, but for some reason, the "Stability Warning" in my head was being drowned out by the sound of her heartbeat.
