Chapter 5 - Ch3ImThe Boy Who Carried Rain

In a quiet village beside green rice fields, there lived a boy named Arin. He was known for two things: his silence and the old blue umbrella he carried everywhere, even under a bright sky.

People laughed at him gently.

"Why carry an umbrella when there's no rain?" the shopkeepers would ask.

Arin only smiled.

The truth was, Arin loved the rain more than anything in the world. Rain made the earth smell alive. It painted silver lines across the river and turned dusty roads into mirrors. But the village had not seen rain in many months. The ponds were drying, crops were bending weakly, and the air felt tired.

Every evening, Arin climbed the hill beyond the village with his umbrella hanging from his shoulder. At the top stood a lonely tree. There he would sit quietly and whisper stories to the sky.

He spoke of thirsty flowers. Of farmers waiting hopefully at dawn. Of children wanting to dance barefoot in muddy water again.

Days passed. Then weeks.

One evening, dark clouds slowly gathered above the hill. The wind carried the scent of wet earth before a single drop had even fallen.

Arin stood beneath the lonely tree and opened his blue umbrella.

The first raindrop touched his hand.

Then another.

And another.

Soon the entire sky burst open.

Rain poured across the village like music returning after a long silence. Children ran outside laughing. Farmers lifted their faces to the clouds. The dry ponds began to breathe again.
