Chapter 28 - Chapter 25 — The Battle that Shook the Sect

The moment the Sect Leader's sword struck the Tyrant, a deep crack spread across the monster's dark armor. Inside the Cloud Mist Internet Café, dozens of disciples gasped in disbelief as they watched the glowing screen.

For days, countless cultivators had attempted the Tyrant Trial. Inner disciples, core disciples, and even powerful warriors from different peaks had challenged the boss realm, yet none had managed to cause such visible damage to the creature.

But the Sect Leader's first strike had already proven something important.

The Tyrant could be defeated.

Inside the ruined arena, the Tyrant roared in anger as the crack in its armor widened slightly. Its glowing red eyes burned with fury as it focused entirely on the calm figure standing before it.

The Sect Leader remained completely composed.

His sword rested lightly in his hand as he observed the massive creature.

"This illusion world is impressive," he murmured quietly.

Even though he knew the battle was only a simulation, the realism of the environment was extraordinary. The pressure of the monster's aura, the vibrations of the ground beneath its steps, even the sound of the wind passing through the broken pillars felt perfectly real.

But what interested him most was the creature itself.

The Tyrant was not simply a mindless monster.

Its movements followed a clear combat pattern.

Each attack contained power comparable to a real battle between cultivators.

"This is more than just a training illusion," the Sect Leader thought.

Then the Tyrant moved again.

Its massive body lunged forward with terrifying speed, its enormous claws tearing through the air.

The Sect Leader stepped forward calmly.

His sword flashed.

Another powerful strike collided with the Tyrant's armored body.

This time, the crack widened even further.

Inside the computer shop, the watching disciples erupted into excited whispers.

"He damaged it again!"

"The armor is breaking!"

Several cultivators leaned closer to the screen.

Even those who had already seen dozens of Tyrant battles could not hide their excitement.

Inside the arena, the Tyrant roared loudly as it swung its massive arm in retaliation.

The Sect Leader moved with incredible precision.

Each step was small but perfectly timed.

Every movement of his body seemed to anticipate the monster's attacks before they even happened.

The watching disciples began noticing something unusual.

"He's not just dodging…"

"He's controlling the rhythm of the battle."

Every time the Tyrant attacked, the Sect Leader moved slightly to redirect the creature's momentum.

Every counterattack landed exactly where the armor was already weakened.

The battle gradually shifted in his favor.

Standing behind the counter, Lin Tian watched the fight quietly.

Inside his mind, the system panel displayed the progress of the boss battle.

Boss Health Remaining: 42%

Lin Tian raised an eyebrow.

"That's much faster than expected."

For the first time since the Tyrant Trial had appeared, the boss was truly losing the battle.

Inside the arena, the Tyrant's attacks grew more violent.

The monster slammed its claws into the ground, causing massive cracks to spread across the battlefield.

But the Sect Leader remained calm.

His sword movements became sharper.

Faster.

More precise.

Each strike weakened the Tyrant further.

Inside the computer shop, the crowd had grown even larger.

Disciples from every floor rushed down to watch the battle.

Even the visiting cultivators from other sects stood silently among the crowd.

Elder Song from the Azure Wind Sect narrowed his eyes.

"That sword technique…"

"It's incredibly refined."

The Sect Leader's movements were not flashy.

But every strike carried perfect control of spiritual energy.

Inside the arena, the Tyrant finally staggered.

Its massive body trembled as the cracks in its armor spread across its chest.

The watching disciples held their breath.

"This might be it…"

The Tyrant roared one final time and launched a desperate attack.

Its entire body surged forward with overwhelming power.

But the Sect Leader did not retreat.

Instead, he stepped forward.

His sword rose slowly.

Then—

One final strike flashed across the arena.

The blade cut through the Tyrant's chest.

For a moment, the entire battlefield fell silent.

Then the massive creature froze.

Its glowing red eyes dimmed.

And its enormous body collapsed onto the ground.

Inside the computer shop, the glowing screen flashed.

Tyrant Trial — Completed

The room exploded with excitement.

"He defeated it!"

"The Sect Leader killed the Tyrant!"

Dozens of disciples cheered loudly.

For the first time since the boss realm had appeared, someone had finally defeated the terrifying monster.

Inside the simulation, the ruined arena slowly faded away.

The Sect Leader opened his eyes inside the computer shop.

For a moment, he remained seated quietly.

Then he slowly stood up.

The crowd immediately grew silent again.

Everyone waited to hear his reaction.

The Sect Leader tested a few movements of his sword.

His expression remained calm, but his eyes revealed a hint of surprise.

"My combat awareness…"

"…has improved."

The surrounding disciples immediately whispered excitedly.

Even someone as powerful as the Sect Leader had gained improvement from the training realm.

The Sect Leader turned toward Lin Tian.

"This place…"

He paused briefly.

"…is far more valuable than I expected."

Lin Tian smiled faintly.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it."

The Sect Leader looked around the crowded shop once more.

"Cloud Mist Peak may soon become the most important training ground in the Lingyuan Sect."

Just as he finished speaking, the system panel inside Lin Tian's mind suddenly flashed brightly.

DING

A new notification appeared.

Boss Realm Completed for the First Time

Lin Tian narrowed his eyes slightly.

The system was about to reveal the long-awaited reward.

And whatever appeared next…

Would likely push the influence of Cloud Mist Peak to an even higher level.
