Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 – The Endgame

1942.

The moment had arrived.

Years of careful planning, manipulation, and divine strategy had led to this single opportunity. My snakes, ever vigilant and precise, had finally slipped past every layer of Hitler's defenses. One of them had slithered into his bunker, unnoticed, gathering critical intelligence.

I studied the reports my snake delivered. Every movement, every guard rotation, every weakness in the layout—it was perfect.

I didn't hesitate.

With a simple reverse summoning, I appeared inside the bunker. My body, small and unassuming in appearance, moved with absolute precision. Wind chakra flowed into my hand, forming a razor-sharp wind blade. I didn't fight. I didn't need to. The entire operation was an assassination.

Hitler didn't even have time to react.

A single, clean strike. Silent. Efficient. Complete.

And just like that, the war's axis of terror was gone.

I disappeared from the bunker as silently as I had arrived, returning to America in a whisper of wind.

The war didn't wait for the humans to process it. My forces had the nuclear bombs ready, built years ahead of schedule thanks to my subtle guidance. I ordered a single test strike on an empty location in Germany.

The shockwave. The fire. The destruction of even a vacant area caused ripples of terror through the German military. Hitler was dead. Their cities were at risk. Their command had crumbled. Morale collapsed.

Germany surrendered.

Japan, witnessing the demonstration of our overwhelming force—and understanding the fate that could await them—capitulated shortly afterward.

Victory.

It was complete.

Roosevelt and I stood together, looking out over the quiet aftermath. I allowed myself a small, cold smile.

Years of preparation, manipulation, and subtle guidance had led to this. The war had been won without the prolonged suffering that history would have otherwise demanded.

Every step I had taken—from Camp Half-Blood to the battlefield, from spies to demigod-led strikes—had worked perfectly.

The nuclear bombs had terrified mortals into obedience. My assassination had removed the axis of evil before it could do more lasting damage. And the demigods? They had fought with precision, executing strategies I had laid out years in advance.

Zeus and Athena, watching from above, had to have been impressed.

I had orchestrated victory in both mortal and divine terms. The world had been saved, shaped exactly as I had predicted, and I had ensured the survival and influence of those I had chosen—Roosevelt, my allies, and the demigods who had fought by my side.

The war was over.

And I, as always, had been several steps ahead.
