The obsidian crater that was once the Sub-Zero Vault pulsed with a rhythmic, dark light. Lin Void stood in the center, his small chest no longer heaving. The Stardust Marrow hadn't just healed his meridians; it had reinforced them with the density of a collapsing sun.
His silver hair caught the flickering torchlight, each strand shimmering with a faint, violet-black nebula. He looked down at his hands. The "cup" of his body had been forged into a "cauldron" of the Star-Void.
"Void..." Lin Tian stood up, his movements fluid for the first time in years. The overflow of the Marrow had knitted his shattered bones and purged the Earth-poison from his blood. "The General... he's gone. The city... they'll send the entire Northern Army."
"Let them," Lin Void said, his voice resonant, vibrating with a dual-tone of innocence and ancient authority. "They are merely 'exp' for my new core."
The Uprising of the Damned
Outside the vault, the Pit of the Damned was in chaos. The death of General Zhao had shattered the city's mental suppressive array. Thousands of slaves—miners, failed element masters, and political prisoners—were pouring out of the sub-levels, clashing with the panicked city guards.
Lin Void stepped onto the broken balcony of the Grand Pavilion, overlooking the city square.
"Star-Void Domain: The Reaping Sun."
He didn't release a blast. Instead, he released a pulse of gravity. Every guard within a mile felt their heavy iron armor suddenly weigh ten times more. They collapsed, pinned to the cobblestones by their own equipment.
The slaves stopped, staring up at the small, silver-haired figure standing against the moon.
"Those who wish to die, stay on your knees!" Lin Void's voice boomed, amplified by the vacuum. "Those who wish to hunt the gods... follow me!"
The Jin Princess's Last Stand
Among the fleeing nobility, Jin Meiling stood her ground. Her ice-aura was frantic, shards of frost swirling around her like a desperate shield. She watched as her elite protectors were swallowed by the shadows of the "peasant boy."
"You... you are a devil!" she screamed, thrusting her hands forward. "Ice Law: Glacial Burial!"
A wave of absolute zero surged toward Lin Void, capable of freezing a lake in a heartbeat.
Lin Void didn't even raise a hand. He simply walked through the frost. The ice didn't hit him; it turned into stardust and drifted away, absorbed by his skin.
"Cousin," Lin Void said, stopping inches from her. "The Jin Clan taught you that talent is everything. They forgot to teach you that talent is just a loan from the universe. And today... I am the debt collector."
He tapped her forehead.
"Void-Sealing: Eternal Night."
Meiling didn't die. Instead, her Gold-Rank potential—the very pride of the Jin Clan—was sucked into a black vortex within her own forehead. Her silver hair turned dull grey. Her aura vanished. She collapsed, not dead, but a "mortal" in a world of monsters.
"Take her," Lin Void commanded the approaching slaves. "She will be our messenger. Send her back to the Jin Clan with one word: 'Next.'"
The Path to the Palace
As the sun began to rise over the burning Iron-Blood City, Lin Void stood at the city gates. Behind him followed an army of ten thousand "Damned," their eyes reflecting the violet light of their new leader.
He turned to his father. "Father, the North is ours. But my mother... she isn't in a physical cage. I felt it when I absorbed the Marrow. Her soul-mark is being used as a battery for the Stardust Array in the Imperial Capital."
Lin Tian's face hardened. "Then we don't just hide anymore. We march."
Lin Void looked toward the distant horizon. His Star-Void Core hummed with a hunger that would not be satisfied by mere Marrow. He needed the throne.
