There was a promise that you would come again.

There was a promise to keep the word.

There was a promise of many days.

There was a promise of a lonely heart.

There was a promise of that flute.

There was a promise in the name of the river.

There was a promise about you.

There was a promise that it would be lost.

There was a promise riding the palanquin.

There was a promise at the bend of the road.

There was a promise that it would fade away.

There was a promise that it could be covered.

There was a promise of a playful game.

There was a promise of a little more.

There was a promise for the whole life.

There was a promise until birth and death.

There was a promise that songs would be sung.

There was a promise of melodies.

There was a promise in my love.

There was a promise to stay together.

There was a promise of day and night.

There was a promise to awaken the companion.

There was a promise in this life.

There was a promise to keep in the heart.

But the heart does not understand the heart's words.

That is why the promise remained unheard.
