As soon as he completed the second quest, Felix received a notification that the quest limit had been increased from 3 to 4.
That alone was a pretty big upgrade.
It meant more room. More flexibility. More chances to roll without immediately risking a drawback. If he played it right, he could stack a few good pulls before things went south.
Still… the last active quest lingered in the back of his mind.
Joining one of the top 5 strongest factions.
That sounded simple on paper. It wasn't.
The problem wasn't joining. The problem was figuring out what even counted.
Were Demon Lords individual factions, or was the Demon Lord Council considered one? Did the Eastern Empire count separately from the Single Digits? What about Ivarage? Did that thing even count as a faction?
And then there were other dimensions.
Did those count too?
Just figuring out what the "top 5" even were felt like a headache. Joining one of them was another problem entirely.
Unless he somehow managed to align himself with someone like Guy Crimson right off the bat, the odds of accidentally landing in the right place were… low.
Felix exhaled quietly.
Still, there were about nine months left on that quest.
Plenty of time.
No point stressing over it now.
Which meant…
Rolling time.
Before heading out to rescue Raphtalia and visit Ramiris for the Hero's Egg, he decided to use his extra slots and roll until he hit a drawback.
No reason to waste the opportunity.
[Rolling the Gacha: Congratulations You've rolled:
Blessed Talent
Fortuna and her peers smile upon you. Higher powers, whether they're deities, demons, or merely greater elementals or other spirits, will warm up to you more quickly than just anyone. Blessings or gifts given to you will be more powerful or useful, and curses or smitings aimed at your enemies will be more effective, scaling to how much the specific higher power likes you compared to who- or whatever you're calling upon them for.
If you are a god, the use of your own godly powers benefits from Soul Talent instead. In that case, if you also have Talent Sharing for this perk, it will remain useful for anyone in your retinue who calls upon your power. (Waifu Catalogue)]
Felix's lips curled into a small grin.
"…That's actually really good."
Not flashy. Not immediately destructive. But the kind of thing that stacked quietly and paid off later.
And more importantly…
"I'm heading to the Dwelling of Spirits anyway…"
That synergy alone made it worth it.
Spirits, elementals, higher beings. If they were more inclined to favor him, that could smooth things out a lot. Maybe even open doors he didn't know existed.
Yeah. Definitely a solid roll.
He paused for a moment, thinking it through.
Three empty quest slots left.
No drawback yet.
"Alright… one more."
[Rolling the Gacha: Congratulations You've gotten:
World Map
A world map is now added to the status bar. The regions you've visited are recorded in detail and updated in real time.
Even if you haven't been to a place yet, you can still get a rough idea of its general location. (Demon's Blessing)]
Another window appeared in his mind, separate from the usual system interface.
A full map.
The world of Tensura, laid out clearly.
It didn't block his vision. Just… existed alongside his thoughts.
Felix glanced over it briefly, mentally zooming in and out.
"…Neat."
Useful?
Maybe.
But not necessary.
His memory and processing were already good enough to remember terrain, directions, distances. He could manage without it.
Still…
"In edge cases, this might come in handy."
Like unfamiliar territory. Or cross-referencing locations.
Not bad. Just not exciting.
He didn't hesitate.
[Rolling the Gacha: Congratulations you've gotten
Night Vision Goggles
Goggles that can assist with seeing in the dark. (The "Alcaeus" Edition : World Fusion)]
Felix stared at the item in his hand.
"…Yeah, that's useless."
He turned the goggles over once, inspecting them.
Decent build. Probably high quality by normal standards.
Completely irrelevant to him.
"With Magic Sense, I don't even need eyes in the first place…"
He sighed lightly and tossed them into a bag.
Still.
No drawback yet.
That meant he could keep going.
[Rolling the Gacha: Congratulations you've gotten:
Artificial Selection
Skills develop according to the subconscious desires and wishes, Well, for you its Conscious!
instead of fearing if your skill develops into a wrong direction, or if it develops into a manas, now you can just decide!
you want it to become a Manas? now it's much faster.
you don't want it to become a manas? shi ok.
you want your skill to become an ultimate skill? how about you just CHOOSE what ultimate skill it will eventually become!
(isn't perfect, only what's possible and isn't betraying the essence of the skill) (Tensura Cyoa)]
Felix froze for half a second.
Then—
A wide grin spread across his face.
"…Now this is what I'm talking about."
That wasn't just good.
That was control.
Real control.
No more waiting for skills to evolve unpredictably. No more gambling on outcomes. No risk of something developing in a direction he didn't want.
He could guide it.
Shape it.
Choose it.
"…That's broken."
In the best way possible.
Manas. Ultimate Skills. Evolution paths.
Everything just became… manageable.
His mind immediately started running through possibilities.
Chosen One already had a path to an Ultimate Skill.
Which meant…
"That leaves Shaman."
Only one real candidate for now.
"…I should probably start collecting more skills."
Because with this?
Skills weren't just abilities anymore.
They were investments.
Then again…
Felix leaned back slightly, the grin still lingering.
"Why bother hunting for skills when I can just roll for power?"
It wasn't entirely a joke either.
The Gacha had already proven it could hand out absurd upgrades.
Still, something to think about later.
For now…
One more roll.
[Rolling the Gacha: Congratulations You've gotten:
Horn O' Plenty
You have a Horn O' Plenty. You can reach inside this horn and always find some food. This food will not be something that you are allergic to, and will also not contain something that you would not eat for reasons such as religious grounds or veganism. (Magic Multiverse Mayhem)]
Felix blinked.
Then let out a small breath.
"…Okay, that's actually nice."
Not powerful.
Not game-changing.
But useful.
Very useful.
Especially considering he was about to go traveling again.
"Anything's better than surviving on sandwiches…"
He could already imagine it. Endless variety. No effort.
Yeah. He'd take it.
And still—
No drawback.
Which meant…
This was it.
Next roll.
[Rolling the Gacha: Unfortunately You've gotten:
Late to the Party
One good, neutral, and evil person will arrive in your next World a month before you do. Each will have access to a random Cheat Power, their strength based on your own at the time of your arrival, and will certainly cause problems going forward. (Multiverse Explorer Merge)]
Felix's expression stilled.
"…Well."
There it was.
A drawback.
Not the worst one he could've gotten.
But definitely annoying.
Three wildcard variables. Powered based on him. Already ahead by a month.
"Yeah… that's going to be a problem."
He exhaled slowly, already thinking through implications.
Before he could go deeper—
[Quest Triggered: Survive Fictional Highschool.
Spend at least 3 months in a Highschool in any of the fictional worlds. For this quest alone, you may access the system's own world Transfer function. Whenever you're ready, you may accept the quest and you'll be presented with the choice of 5 highschool across 5 different worlds.
Time limit: 6 months.]
Felix stared at the new quest.
"…Seriously?"
Out of everything.
High school.
The drawback itself wasn't even the issue.
This was.
He rubbed the back of his neck, thinking.
"I could just go to a random world… let the drawback play out… and come back."
Simple solution.
Avoid the headache entirely.
But just as that thought settled—
A new notification appeared.
[Note: Any Drawback that applies to a world, upon activation will seal the world for the next 1-5 years depending on the strength of the drawback itself.]
Felix blinked.
Then his expression shifted.
"…Oh."
A pause.
"…Oh, that's bad."
That wasn't just a drawback anymore.
That was commitment.
If he triggered it carelessly, he could end up locked out of a world for years.
Including worlds he might actually want to return to.
Or worse—
Getting stuck in one.
"…Yeah, no."
That changed things.
Completely.
In this case, actually doing the quest was far safer.
Three months in a high school.
Annoying, sure.
But controlled.
Predictable.
Compared to potentially being locked into a world for years…
"Yeah… I'll take the school."
Felix let out a quiet breath, his earlier momentum settling.
Five rolls.
No early drawback.
One excellent pull.
One insane pull.
One practical item.
One useless one.
And now—
A manageable drawback.
"…Not bad."
He nodded to himself.
Then closed the interface.
"No point pushing my luck further."
For now, this was enough.
With the rolls done and the drawback in place, Felix shifted his focus.
Ulgracia.
Raphtalia.
The Dwelling of Spirits.
And now… a high school in some unknown world.
"…Yeah."
It was about time to start preparing for the journey ahead.
A/n : After thinking about it a lot, I think a 3 months short journey (5-7 chapter) into Teen Wolf verse sounds good. I wanted to do Pokemon at first as someone suggested but after writing the rough outline of that I found that it'll e d up being at least 20 or so chapters and since we're still just in starting phase in tensura, that might not be best. Still I'll give you guys the choice. Comment whichever you want. For Teen Wolf he might bring a girl or two back, for Pokemon I might do a half arc with 3-4 pokemon and bring them back.
Vote:
Pokemon
Teen Wolf
Any other suggestions.
