Chapter 3: The Unexpected Reunion
The evening air of Jeju Island was cool and refreshing.
Ji-woo walked slowly along the brightly lit street, still thinking about the man she had accidentally bumped into earlier.
There was something strange about him.
His calm expression. His cold voice.
He didn't seem like an ordinary person.
Ji-woo shook her head and laughed quietly.
"Why am I even thinking about him?"
She decided to stop by a small café near the beach.
But as she stepped inside, her footsteps suddenly stopped.
Her heart skipped a beat.
Standing near the counter was someone she never expected to see again.
Hyun-tae.
Her ex-boyfriend.
Ji-woo froze.
For a moment she thought she was imagining things.
But when he turned around, their eyes met.
His expression changed immediately.
"Ji-woo…?"
The name left his lips slowly, as if he couldn't believe it either.
Ji-woo quickly looked away, trying to stay calm.
"What are you doing here?" he asked, walking closer.
"I'm just traveling," she replied shortly.
Hyun-tae smiled slightly.
"I didn't expect to see you here in Jeju."
Ji-woo remembered everything suddenly—
the memories, the arguments, the heartbreak.
She had trusted him once.
And he had left her without even explaining why.
Before she could say anything else, another voice interrupted them.
"Hyun-tae."
Ji-woo turned around.
Her eyes widened in shock.
The man standing behind them was the same man she had bumped into earlier near the hotel.
The man in the black suit.
Min-jun.
Hyun-tae looked between the two of them with curiosity.
"You know each other?" he asked.
Ji-woo immediately shook her head.
"No."
Min-jun's eyes stayed on her for a second longer before he spoke calmly.
"We have a business meeting to attend."
Hyun-tae nodded and followed him.
But before leaving, Min-jun glanced back at Ji-woo once more.
Something about this meeting felt strangely connected.
And Ji-woo had no idea…
that this was only the beginning of a complicated story between the three of them .
Ji-woo watched as Hyun-tae and Min-jun walked away together.

"Come to the Grand Jeju Hotel tonight. There's something you need to see."
Ji-woo frowned.
The message had no name.
