I'd first like to thank you for giving this novel a try. I am RealmWeaver, and for those who don't know me, I'm the author of Atticus Odyssey and Evolution of the Ruined Heir. This is currently my third book, and I'd like to think of it as the culmination of all the experience I've gathered so far.
This novel follows Zephyrion's journey as he develops the Seven Principles of Manipulation on his rise to the top. It is heavily focused on power progression, so you can expect plenty of intense, action-packed fights.
I'd also like to address the writing as a whole. The beginning of this book leans more toward showing rather than telling. This means you'll experience the scale, power, and emotions of the characters directly, instead of having everything explained upfront. I chose this approach to avoid a slow start and keep the pacing engaging from the beginning. As the story progresses, however, I gradually balance things out, providing clearer and more detailed explanations where necessary.
That said, I've received some feedback from readers who found certain scenes confusing. To address this, I've created an auxiliary chapter that serves as a directory explaining the power system in detail. This should help eliminate any confusion.
Next, I'd like to talk about the main character. Zephyrion is cold, highly driven, and an assassin who has undergone seven years of training. He was raised learning manipulation techniques from his mother, so you should expect a morally grey character who won't hesitate to manipulate others to achieve his goals. As for his strength, I know many of you are here for an overpowered main character, and this story will deliver on that. However, the early chapters focus on establishing Zephyrion's character and the stakes as he returns to his family. The pacing and power progression both pick up significantly afterward, so I'd recommend giving it at least the free chapters before making a decision.
Lastly, regarding the female lead: there will be one, but I haven't finalized who it will be yet. That will be decided later in the story.
